This is so exciting but also scary.

Some names are floaating around allready:

Shania Twain
Alanis Morissette
Emily Stowe
Harriet Tubman (did a repost on her in high school andd gor an 'A'. Lol
Agnes MacPhail

I hope they freaking choose well because I will be very upset,lol

We have the Queen,and back in 2004 ,the 50 dollar bill featured images of Alberta women known as rhe Famous 5 as well as activist Therese Casgrain.

In 2011 we got new polymer bills,and they featuured an icebreaker,whatever that is,lol


And on some coins also.

But I think this is great,I just hope they don't choose a freaking singer..:devil:
 
Best just to use a debit/credit card, no shocks with plastic, except for some of the bills...

Our money is beautiful.
There was a coin made in 1994 featuring Anne of Green Gables
In 2013,they honoured a Canadian heroine of the war of 1812. Laaura Secord.
Also,Alice Munro ,the author.
2015 Fifa Womens World Cup
Also,some of our coins have the red poppy on it.


And our paper money is the shades of the rainbow,lol
 
What do you think of Laura Secord? Canada might not be as it is today had it not been for her efforts in warning the British soldiers.

Years ago ,there used to be some Canadian history commercials,and her story was one of them,quick commercials but they stayed with me.do you remember them?

I think she would be a great choice.
 
Vicky, they still show those commercials here depicting Canada's history. The latest is how basketball was invented, it shows them using a bushel basket with the bottom cut out. Pretty ingenious people us Canucks are.

Ours too. We invented the polymer banknotes. The one thing you must not do is iron them before banking.
