Yes... and in the 30s and 40s, cigarette ads claimed to heal irritated noses and throats and came with a "doctor recommended" statement. I like deciding what's "good for me".... and if that includes chocolate... well, you know.Just because someone says it's good for you isn't enough reason for me.
I'll take my chances!
You can sub in other cruciferous veg for the broccoli. I do find that broccoli isn't easy to tolerate if not extremely fresh and just barely cooked. Of course adding some cheese sauce and baking it off also does wonders for it.Same with me and Broccoli... if I never needed to eat it again, I'd be happy... but I do because it's supposed to be good for me..
I would never eat Canned Salmon it's a disgusting taste to me.. but I eat fresh smoked salmon.. and smoked trout...
Canned Tuna I eat once in a while..not really over keen on it but it's ok occasionally ..especially mixed with Mayo in Vol-au-Vents
We love chicken livers but avocado's have 0 taste to me.Liver unless it's cooked well like fried chicken livers.
it's such a pity, because of course it doesn't taste of Soap at all in reality.. nothing even near it.. it has a delicious flavour. What do you do when you eat Indian curries?.. all Indian curries have Coriander in themI'm one of the 4-14% who think it tastes like soap, https://www.britannica.com/story/why-does-cilantro-taste-like-soap-to-some-people
Don't know if I've ever eaten Indian before, not much on spicy foods. Being Asperger & diabetic I usually eat the same meal daily. Easier to plan around & if it doesn't come in a can it's usually not on the menu.it's such a pity, because of course it doesn't taste of Soap at all in reality.. nothing even near it.. it has a delicious flavour. Yes, same here. That said, I like eating foods that are nutritious, I suppose I'm fortunate that I happen to like the taste of the good-for-you foods.I don’t eat anything I don’t like.
Take out the large stone and add small prawns and a little mayonnaise and lemon juice. It's delicious.Avocado - even though it is supposed to be good for me. I don't like the slimy taste. When I eat it, I cut it into small chunks and put in salad, and it blends well.
I just have to hear the word cilantro and I heave. Won't eat anything with it added . Over here we call it Coriander . All the women on my side of the family can't stand it.Cilantro or kale - soapy, bitter & disgusting to me. Decided I'm old enough to go without.
Don't like fish at all, plain yogurt ok if you mix with the unhealthy sugar subs. Figure good cancels the bad.
It can be shorter still if you don't balance a diet. High protein together with a lack of fibre that's in fruit and vegetables causes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol which in turn triggers high levels of triglycerides (dyslipidemia.) Look up dyslipidemia, it can lead to cardiovascular disease with severe complications. Type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease.Life is too short to eat anything that I don’t like.
When I first tasted cilantro/coriander, it seemed very soapy or perfumey, but I came to love it over time (it's in a lot of Mexican food, so hard to avoid). Same with avocado tasting of soap.it's such a pity, because of course it doesn't taste of Soap at all in reality.. nothing even near it.. it has a delicious flavour. I don't eat anything I don't like, luckily, I love vegetables and clean eating. But there are a lot of things I absolutely love that I don't eat. Gave up sugar completely years ago because I was a complete addict. If I found out tomorrow sugar promoted a longer life and did not cause cancer and other illnesses I would eat it all day, every day.Anything you almost have to force down all the while thinking how a dietician would be proud of you?
Mine is canned salmon, I like a tuna fish sandwich but make that sandwich with salmon and I still think yuck.
What about you?
