Your own body, what hurts today?

That sounds really rough. Don't they now have some fillers for the knees? I would hope they could cushion all joints. Where is the research?

My right shoulder. Missing most cartilage in it, causing a lo;vt of issues. Getting cortizone shots...and a med to help pain. Going back in November for next shot
I have the same thing in both shoulders. It started in the right one. But strangely, after a couple of years, it finally let up. I've learned what angles and movements work for that arm, and which ones don't.

It's worst when I'm trying to find a comfortable position to fall asleep. The best pain relief I've found is Lidocaine patches. They fit right over your shoulder and work instantly, and continue working for about 9 hours.

The last time I visited my orthopedist, who specializes in arms and shoulders, his waiting room was totally packed with people with shoulder arthritis. So you've got lots of company, Marie, if it helps any to know that.

I am accustomed to some pain when walking. Trying to get out of bed in the morning is another story. Everything has locked up. I have discovered that I can trick my brain. Forgive me if I have said this before. I think it is important. I grab my phone and do difficult crossword puzzles. They require complete concentration and I forget about the pain. After about thirty or forty minutes the pain has subsided and I can walk enough to get to the bathroom and kitchen.
If it works................good!

All as usual with my discomforts or ailments today :)

ALSO, anyone may discuss any aspect of their health and medical
on this thread. You are very welcomed to do so. To share, to vent,
to cry even, just feel comfortable please in knowing there are no
limitations for what you might want to share.

Putting drops in my right eye 4 days after cataract surgery it really only really hurt the first day until I had some sleep.
Getting just a little numbness in my left leg from the compressed L4.
Keeping a close eye on my BP because it is tending to run high enough that I am taking an extra pill about half way through my 12 hour scheduled regular time for pills.

My lower left back had been killing me for days. I lifted something wrong and it was so bad I had trouble standing. Two days ago a friend gave me one of those disposable ThermoPads things which I wore for an entire day. Much better the next morning. I wore one again yesterday and I just played 18 holes of golf with no problems at all. 99% cured. Highly recommended at least for injury pain. A heating pad is a bit clunky to use for that long. The friend who gave it to me has disc issues and she only gets temporary results from them.

I'm going to call the doctor and see if Medicare will pay to diagnose the back of my hand near the wrist. Sharp pain when twisting it in certainly directions with normal daily use.

It's been this way for months now. I do remember whacking it once rather hard on the door frame.

It's been years since I've used the disposable ThermoPads, I just might purchase and try one again for my lower back.

Cataract surgery and eye drops. Mine is coming up in January.
Compressed L4. Ouch! Close eye on your BP. Yes, good idea.
