Zelenskyy and the spirit of Ukraine are 'Time' magazine's 2022 Person of the Year

Here is a link that I posted earlier in this thread:

https://amgreatness.com/2022/11/18/its-time-to-speak-the-truth-about-ukraine/

A quote from that article:

"Senate warmongers in May were quick to shoot down Senator Rand Paul’s proposed amendment to include an Inspector General to establish minimal accountability for the delivery of $40 billion in aid. They should have listened to Rand Paul. A now-censored CBS report revealed that, due to theft and corruption, only 30 percent of American equipment ever reaches the Ukrainian frontlines. Criminal gangs across Europe are already trafficking the arms on the black market."

Proof - no I don't have any proof but the above quote makes me very suspicious.

Hmm. Well, I'm on the right, but American Greatness is way too far right for me. And I trust the analysis of the Wall Street Journal over an article written by "the former chief of the Martinsburg Police Department in West Virginia."

Fair enough - we all have different websites that we read. I am curious though - was it the views/information that you don't trust or the fact it was on American Greatness?

Can you provide some links to articles that make you believe that most of the funds sent to Ukraine are being used to help the Ukranians win this war. I am open to reading other viewpoints - I don't know what is really happening - I just don't trust politicians in general.

I used to think that "Man of the Year" was someone who we could all look up to for inspiration. Someone who did something good for man/woman kind. eg: Mother Theresa. With Stalin and Hitler on the cover, I guess "Man of the Year" means something else. Some of the "Men of the Year" were actually, dirty, low down rotten creeps. Maybe that title could be changed to "CREEP OF THE YEAR". Who would have known? I learn something everyday!

It's the article itself. It's full of half truths and it cites highly suspect "experts" such as Scott Ritter (a former Iraq War critic now released from jail after serving a term as a sex offender.) It calls Zelensky a Nazi (which is tough for someone who is Jewish) and Ukraine a Nazi state. It says Ukraine is losing the war (it's not.)

I'll post some links that I consider more objective shortly.

Thanks for the links. I couldn't open the wsj one, but I read the others. Yes, there is certainly a potential fraud - so it is wise to appear to have a watchdog - but "putting a fox in charge of the henhouse" might not accomplish much.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Man of the Year, or Person/persons of the year simply put means the person who is of the most interest during the year. Folks vote online, send in nominations from all over the country, then the title and Cover is awarded from the results. It may explain why Stalin and Hitler wore that same title, but mostly it is awarded to the good people.

War in and of itself is fraud, waste and abuse. Everything, including the kitchen sink, must be thrown into the fray. If not, then do not expect to prevail in a conflict. Accountability? No such thing my friends. Write it off as "Combat Loss".
