I've just read an article in one of the newspapers where a self appointed shopaholic had tested herself by not buying any new clothes for a year!!
She admitted that she had far too much stuff, and was spending £1000 per month every month on clothes that were getting little or no wear!!
Many of the comments, were of the nature that not buying clothes for a year was quite a normal thing for most people, especially those on limited budgets!!
Now, I have a lot of clothes myself, I have to admit ... although I don't buy new clothing every month..nor do I send anywhere nearly as much as £1000...and since I retired last year, I don't need to buy clothing as much as I needed during my working life!!
I still like to dress relatively fashionably, and my passion is for shoes of which I have many ..but in reality as long as I didn't gain or lose weight, (aside from underwear) I could theoretically not buy new clothes for probably 5 years...
...so what about you, do you buy new clothes regularly still ? ..can you still afford to buy them as ften if you want to.., or are you happy with what you already own anyway?
