Do you sleep in the raw? What nightime rituals do you do?

At time I enjoyed sleeping in the raw, but now. not so much. One thing that I've started is sleeping fully clothed, and not getting under the covers. I'm really not sure why, but occasionally, I like to do that. I do have a few nighttime rituals. I have to put a pillow between my legs, but it has to be just the RIGHT way. And I leave a light on. That way when I have to make my 3:34 AM pit stop, I don't have to fumble with a light switch on the lamp.

In the raw & thankfully getting up during the night doesn't happen. No rituals just go to bed when sleepy get up when I wake up. Usually 7 or 8 hours later.

I sleep in my daughters room because the hubby snores, and has the thermostat on 90,radio on till he falls asleep, I hate that, and I read until all hours of the night.
Here are my rituals.

The computer is in my daughters room. All the lights have to be completely blocked.Towel over the caption phone, Desk chair placed just so to block the lights under the desk. Drapes drawn. Fan in place, not for cooling but to muffle any annoying sound that even a dog wouldn't hear, but I do even without my hearing aids. Temp down to below zero. Book out or Kindle for the nights reading, Antacids on table near the bed with a glass of water if needed, and my Ambien.
Short night gown and pillow tucked between my bony knees.
After all this, I don't sleep. What a nut case.

In the raw? Never!

My one "ritual," if you can call it that, is that I always turn my alarm clock with the numbers facing away from the bed. They are big and pretty bright, enough to keep me up all night!

we used to sleep in the raw,but when we brought foster kiddos into the house,we figured we`d better wear pjs. Now that they are gone,we still wear them because of living in a fire zone. One less thing to think about,in case....

I am almost completely deaf. How does the caption phone work? Just a quick summary, I don't want to sabotage the thread. Thanks! Does it worry you that someone is listening so that they can type up the caption?

In the summer I will sleep with just a bottom, shorts usually, no top. I do keep a top within reach, if needed.
Not many rituals, except to go sit with my pet rats for a bit before bed. Sometimes I read a while. I have tried to stick to a personal rule of no electronics for at least an hour before bed. Lately am trying no TV as well. That's harder.

I usually put on my nightgown, plug in my cell phone, turn out most lights 'cept for the nightlight, then I toss and turn till I fall asleep.

I slept only in my undies last night. I had the heat way up and it had gotten quite warm in here. I never sleep in the nude and have not for many years when I had a partner. Sometimes when I feel a chill I will get under all the covers with all my clothes on and take a good nap. ;)

Summer, nary a stich
The boys need to stretch, breathe
Winter, bed shorts only
I get too tangled up in leggings and tops
'sides, we like to spoon

Nighttime ritual? Pee, brush teeth, grab the water jug outta the fridge, touch my 357 in the bed stand, turn on the bed stand light, knock out the NY Times crossword, turn the light off, snuggle

The main ritual is waking around 2A or 3A, because, well, we can, get on the web, fiddle around 'til we get sleepy again
And trudge back to bed
The wonderful thing about 'the 2nd sleep' as I call it, is it's a conscious drift off, not due to being tired, but being wonderfully sleepy
The conscious drifting slumber is maybe the best of the best of....anything
Nothing quite like it
Maybe the sleep after a frolic is equal...maybe

I sleep with a nightgown ,flannel one during the winter months
I really don't have any bedtime rituals during the week I go to bed around midnight or earlier depending on how tired I am On the weekend I'm in bed around 10:30
I wake up around 5:30a-5:45 for potty, then put on classical music station which sometimes lulls me back to sleep

I use a long night shirt. It is not very stylish, but those periodic trips to the bathroom can be a bit chilly during the winter months.

LOL, I am rather proud of you folks for not getting kinky given the title of this thread.

I don't wear anything but Channel number 5 or equivalent to bed...

i would die of heat stroke if I wore PJ's or strangle myself to death if I wore a nightie..

usual ritual is..

Glass of water on the bedside cabinet , meds for first thing in the morning when I wake..
earplugs ( I live in the country but traffic and hubs snoring next door is still a problem , I need total silence)
Blackout blinds all the way down.

Go to bed when I'm tried, I'm a night owl retired , hubs gets up early for work... (5am) he's in another room

I always read.. always, unless I'm too ill... . Either a hardback or my ipad or kindle...
never take my phone upstairs to the bedroom, always leave it downstairs turned off..

Always place a cushion between my knees before I turn the lamp off (due to lower back problems)

never have the heating on in the bedroom..I'd feel like I was suffocating, and my house is so warm that I usually only sleep with one thin duvet style blanket or quilt... rarely ever have anything more than 5 tog on my bed even in the depths of winter..

After major weight loss, I'm always cold. If it's under 85 in the house, I sleep in polyester sweat pants & a "North Face" Polyester sweater. And a polyester blanket.
In summer, I can get by with a shirt & shorts, but only if the room is around 90.

Ritual: I have severe tinnitus & it's much worse in a quiet environment, so I'll have the TV on low volume, set to turn off in 30 minutes.

I wish I had your problem, I would save a bundle on AC. I do keep my AC at 80, though, any lower and I would feel cold.

I seldom have tinnitus, but I hear ''concert music'' a lot. I can't choose the music, either, it just ''auto selects'' ???! I thought I was going crazy but my ENT told me I was okay mentally, he said it's called an ''earworm'' and they're doing studies on them.

Although I am not inclined to share my bedtime habits on a public forum, I do have something that may be of interest to some here.

I often spend some time at my computer in the evening and have installed a little app called f.lux. It's a free download. Computer monitors are usually quite bright and this bright (high K temperature) light just before going to bed can interfere with sleep. The f.lux app automatically sets your monitor to a softer (cooler K temperature) light at sunset and restores it at sunrise.

I've used it for a number of years and it works well for me, but YMMV.

T shirt & house shorts so I don't have to dress. When I wake it is from bed straight to the coffee pot and hit the "ON" switch. The ret of the day is secondary.

T-shirt year 'round. Sleeping temp. 40 - 60 when possible. Window open a little or a lot as long as the outside temp is below 60. Neither of us like warm sleeping temps. Ceiling or oscillating fan on, winter or summer.
