Does anyone still take baths?

I use to when I had a tub. showers only now (only because I don't have a tub)... I miss soaking in the tub with hot water and epsom salt...

I'm a bath person. I love soaking in my bathtub. When we moved into our new house about a year ago we got a walk in tub. The tub is soo compfortable for me and I am able to get in and out without a problem. It also has a shower attachment so I can rinse off under the shower before getting out of the tub. Now I'm in the mood to go soak. I usually do it before bedtime, but writing this gave me the urge to do it now.

Not a fan of the bath. In my family growing up, women bathed. When I was about 14 someone teased me about “sitting in my own dirt.” I didn’t take it too seriously because it wasn’t like I was a coal miner. But I thought why not try a shower? And I did. Pretty sure I heard angels sing. Best shower I ever had was in the Cathay Pacific lounge in Hong Kong waiting for the next leg of our trip. Gray granite walls, fluffy white towels delivered by an attendant, and water came raining down from a 10 foot tall ceiling. OMG. Like showering in a rainstorm only warm. Felt like a new woman.

Your description makes that shower sound absolutely heavenly!

Probably some of the ladies do, but I doubt the men. While growing up there was no shower in our house and baths for all the kids were twice a week with arguments about how clean the tub was left between baths...
We only had one bathtub (no shower) for 5 people when I was growing up (once a week bath). I'm a guy, but I only take baths, never seemed to like showers (my kids and their families all take showers). Yea it's a little tough getting in and (especially) out of the tub but I will continue doing so until/unless it's no longer possible!

Usually on Sundays, a long soak with bath bubbles, face pack and hair conditioner and some music on. Wonderful!

Other days, its a shower which is just as well, otherwise I would spend my life soaking in the bath! If I have a bath on week days, it's usually if I am unwell or cold.

I would love it. When I was young it was a shower every morning to wake up and get ready for work. At night, a nice relaxing soak after the son was put to bed and the dinner dishes were done. Now, I shower every other day to cut down on water use, a bath, no, I can no longer get out of the tub with ease.

Twice a year if I need it or not!!!
That was my thoughts too. The thread title implies, well, we all stink. A bath in the evening and a shower in the morning has been my ablution routine for well over fifty years. Getting in and out of the tub isn't so difficult with a non slip bath mat and a couple of grab handles placed one each side making it easier. I also get out before pulling the plug, the water adds buoyancy, which aids balance.

I used to like the occasional bath, it helped with the various
aches and pains that come along with advanced years in this
life, unfortunately, this place that I am in now doesn't have a
bath, only a shower in the room, that they still call a bathroom.

Mike.

It's nice to have a long, relaxing soak with scented oils once in a while, but I haven't taken a bath in ages. When I did, I always showered off afterwards.

This looks good! 😊
