Watching the election results (NO POLITICAL REPLIES PLEASE)

I am still watching the elections results . It is pretty much the same every year. We vote, we count, we recount. Eventually, we get the final results. I never get tired of the process. Democracy in action. A plus is my son also watches the election and the election results.

I hear more from him during this time period than the entire year. I stayed up late watching last night, fell asleep around 3am or so, and he calls me at 6:30. . Back to watching. Kind of like watching a snail crawling across the grass only a snail is faster.

Who else is watching the counting?

This has definately been an election worthy of the year we have been having. I did try to limit my exposure to the results. I cannot wait for it to be done, so that all we have to deal with is the Medicare Benefits review ads, for another month.

At least this constant election news has slowed down the constant Corona Virus banter....for a few days. But, the TV stations still manage to fit an endless array of goofy commercials into their broadcasts.

But so far everything has been very calm and very respectful. No issues anywhere, in fact, less issues than in previous elections.

A record amount of hot air spewed into the atmosphere by pundits. We need research into how media talking heads are impacting climate change.

You can vote early, in most places you can not count early.

I'm sick of watching all the news about the Election. I can't wait until the counting is finished and things can go back to normal,or what is considered normal at this time.

It’s very interesting to me to see how the people in the various states have voted.

It’s also interesting to me that no matter who wins approx. half of the people in the country would rather have the other guy represent them.

My hope is that after this is settled we can find some common ground as a nation.

I haven't even bothered since it seems like it's going at a snail's pace. Someday we'll know the results, til then, life goes on.

Please post here if you wish. The thread is about counting the vote and watching the count. If people stray, as in other threads, things get more and more political and the thread gets locked. I am just wishing to avoid that result. The issues you bring up are valid, but not valid here. IMO.

But I would love to discuss them on a thread, of yours, should you set it up.

I'm not going to stress over something I have no further control over. I voted. I voted safely. I helped others to vote safely. Nobody got sick or hurt. That's pretty good IMO.
