Anyone ready to move to another country?

how is it now Post Brexit ?... will you go back ?
My kids and my grandkids live in Germany. I lived in Germany many years ago. I just returned after visiting my kids and my grandkids.
They all want me to live in Germany. The regulations they have now for UK citizens is too much.
Post Brexit unless UK joins EU again it will be hard for us to travel or live in EU countries.

it's such a shame. Yesterday a friend in Spain told me that since brexit anything that is sent by post from here garners Taxes.. so a laptop that was sent to him last week is going to cost him 200 euros in fees to release it... absolutely diabolical...

That is true.
My granddaughter had her birthday last month, and I am aware of the unnecessary charges they have tax, custom fees also the hassle of my daughter to go to collect it.
I ordered her gift via Amazon Germany and I paid in €. No charges because it was sold in Germany.
Try it with Spanish Amazon.😂

Since I retired 5 years ago, I have revisited England twice, love it there, but there are so many differences in everyday lifestyles I wouldn't be happy. I also have traveled to four different states, checking out apartments and condos, small cities and villages. Nope, can't find a state I would rather live in. So, here I will stay. No other country I have ever been to holds a candle to the US, despite all its flaws.

As "effed" up as this country is right now...like they say, "there's no place like home". The main reason I wouldn't move, especially at my age, is I'd be too far away from my family. I have an older cousin who is from the states. She moved to Puerto Rico more than 35 years ago with her Puerto Rican husband . She has no qualms about traveling to visit her sons and grandsons (Texas & New Jersey) and another grandson in Germany. I think she's elsewhere more than she is at home. I can't stand the thought of getting on a plane again, let alone flying so often, so I'll stay right here in the states.

I would say “wherever I lay my hat, that‘s my home“.

There's so many different places and ways of living here in England as well... an excellent, fair or poor experience depends on which part of the country

I enjoyed watching the video, @dseag2!

I have family in Greece, Australia, and the U.S. In my twenties, I visited Greece and Australia, and lived in each country for several months. I did consider moving permanently to each one, but decided not to. I have also visited England, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, etc. No matter which country I visited, I always felt relieved when I came home! Moving to another country where they have had political issues in the past, like Greece, who does not have a kind neighbor (Turkey) would always be nagging me with worry. To visit for vacation is another matter.

The questions I ask myself whenever I feel the urge to move to another country are -
"If there would be a war, which country would I want to be living in?"
"If it's more expensive to live in the country (American dollar vs Euro) how far would my money go?"
"If I were to die in another country, how would I be transported to the cemetery plot that I've already bought?"
"What would I do with all the stuff I have in my house if I wanted to move to another country?"
