In the past when I visited Chicago, I wanted to explore the area, so I asked a lady what Chicago is known for and she said gangsters.Nothing says America than a mass shooting. People exercising their right to bear arms.
It's not the usual Chicago shooting in Southside where gangs cause constant havoc. This suburb, Highland Park, has a medium income of 150K and medium property value of $585K and is 91% white.
So at this July 4th parade, maybe the shooter got confused and thought he spotted British sympathizers.
"At a press conference Monday afternoon, Highland Park Police Commander Chris O'Neill.said the suspect is a white man, approximately 18-20 years old with longer black hair a small build and wearing a white or blue T-shirt."

For the life of me, I do not understand why anyone not in the military needs a semiautomatic rifle!

A few months ago, a lady said she remembers guys parking their trucks in the school parking lot years ago with guns on display, but they weren't using them to shoot people. Maybe we are seeing the end result of broken homes, and the decline of other American values. It's also common now to receive scam calls daily, and calls like that would have been shocking in the past. So, it seems some good was lost with change. So sad.

Hear are some of my thoughts on what is causing the insanity. Covid/Viruses ( isolation ), runaway inflation, new supreme court rulings, mass media with tons of fake news, and intense political rivalry. Oh and the plethora of psych meds being handed out like candy.
I think the people doing these mass shootings, mostly the 18 or so year olds are following what the others do for some reason. Probably have big time issues they don't see any other resolve for. It's ridiculous to go to these ends, though, of course. I don't know the answers but somethings got to be done. And the govt. just cant's seem to pull it together to do anything really meaningful. I think we all have got to be kinder to one another and realize we never know what's going on with someone so be helpful and kind to them.

The suspect in the shooting deaths of six people at a July 4th parade in the affluent Highland Park suburb of Chicago has been identified as 22-year-old Robert 'Bobby' Crimo III also known as Awake the Rapper.
The shooter - who remains at large - is said to have opened fire from the roof of what was an outdoor outfitting store, picking off people in the crowd who at first confused the sound of gunshots with Independence Day fireworks.
Crimo is from of the Highland Park area.
He is believed to be driving a 2010 silver Honda Fit with Illinois plates reading dm80653.

He is described as being between 18 and 20 years old, white, of 'slight build' with long black hair. He is wearing a white or a blue t-shirt and used what sounded like a semiautomatic rifle in the attack that he abandoned before fleeing.
Police said earlier that they were trying to trace the weapon they found back to its owner in the hopes it will lead them to him.

Every man at 20 in Switzerland is conscripted into the army .All military personnel are equipped with a Swiss Army gun. After initial training, they are required to do three or four weeks of army service a year until they have served a total of 260 days or reached the age of 34.
For the whole duration of their military service so until theyre 34 years old this weapon is theirs and is usually kept at home. Thats a Sig 550 automatic rifle for enlisted personnel and/or the 9mm SIG-Sauer P220 semi-automatic pistol for officers. Ammunition though is kept in a central arsenal. FBI surrounded Bobby's house where he lives with his Dad and Uncle. They broight a tank and a lot of agents, street is blocked off.
What good is the gun at home? Had he been carrying it and been in Highland Park, he may have been able to get a shot at the sniper. That’s what I would have done.
Guns are the the choice of people that are mentally ill. They want to make others suffer for the injustice they have suffered, which is in their mind only for most of the time.
I think some one posted about the "right to bear arms" This is not what the constitution meant. Bearing arms are meant for the right to protect your county, your family, not as an excuse for people to go out and committ murder.

Killing people doesn't really solve anything. I wish 'Bobby' would have thought of that this morning.

After one look at this cowardly scumbag killer one can see he isn't normal and how could he not have raised flags anywhere in life. He seems to have an anorexic body, neck tattoos, stupid nonsensical attire which SCREAMS 'I want attention'. Yes normal people have tattoos but at 22 he's already has neck tattoos. Some shrinks say tattoos can represent self hatred or body/self esteem issues. It's almost like he's trying to emulate a gang banger with them. I wouldn't be surprised if there was or is prescribed or illegal drugs involved somehow.
And I don't care I'm not not going to use name because coward scumbags like this need to be associated with their cowardly evil deed forever. It's not a video game where the highest number wins.
