What TV ads are your worst ones-the ones you hate?

I agree with all the commercials mentioned here, plus all the "$19.00 a month, just 63 cents a day" commercials for everything. Dogs, whales, bears, tigers, elephants, starving children, homeless teens, hospitals...you name it. Yes, I feel bad for all of them, but if I gave $19 to all of them, I wouldn't have anything to eat. Talk about trying to send you on a guilt trip!

Also, those Peloton exercise bike commercials. All those fake, sweaty, in-shape young people who seems to live in million dollar homes and high rises. Guess they're the only ones who can afford the stupid bike. (I noticed they're selling it for $800.00 less now)

Virtually Every TV commercial is a waste of electricity, IMO. There are some on our local channels that drone on and on....gives me plenty of time to go to the bathroom, etc. Perhaps the dumbest commercials are those from Liberty Mutual.

I agree here !

I hate the ads for medical products, always telling you to call your doctor (imagine what it would be like for the poor doctors if everyone watching that ad did that!) and then listing an interminable list of side effects that their medication could cause (including death).

I rarely watch commercial TV, and most of the streaming channels are blessedly ad-free. When I do get stuck with an ad, my finger automatically hits the mute button.

I hate those ads where someone is just staring into the camera, and then they go to another one and then an other. Quit staring at me dammit!

Medication ads ..... does anyone else feel great because they do not have ALL these conditions?.....

so many seem to infer that MOST people have many of these.....
I have not looked up stats but many of these ads really only apply to a small percentage of patients.

spouse loves to talk over ads ..... when they recite side effects as fast as possible....
his version is like:
" may cause low credit score / crabgrass/ lower gas mileage/ peeling paint " and on and on

Ambulance chasing lawyer ads like Dan Newlan and Morgan & Morgan. Any drug commercials, geez no one can go to the pharmacy and buy those drugs without a prescription. If you can convince your Dr you need him to prescribe you a drug you see on TV, you need a new Dr. I also dislike any Medicare Advantage plan ads. A few more ads trying to convince you that gold and silver are about to skyrocket.

I do have a top 100 TV ads I hate. These are a few I just can't stand. One looks like a home made ad for a "new and improved" antiperspirant ( Gee, where have I heard that before). Supposedly it's some female gynocologist (?) hacking own line of products for "everywhere" body odor. When she comes on, I want to just beat her. I have to mute her. Another is any J G Wentworth ads; they are the other ads I have to mute.
Those ones where they push government sanctioned drugs.

I so dislike the commercials with Joe Namath and Jimmy Walker (Dy-no-mite). Uggggh, can't watch those two.

Me too. I switch channels when those come on. Never cared for either of them..

Me three. I also change channels immediately. I dislike the ads Tom Selleck does for reverse mortgages. "They're not trying to steal your house." "I trust them, and you should too." OK, Tom.

... and any ads for wrinkle or anti-aging creams. Ridiculous.

If you believe that, then you might want to try this, too!

Wizard magic wand. Sparkles wizard glitter trail and miracle magician ...

I think that what most bothers me about commercials is the mind-numbing repetition of the same spot. I can see the same ad repeated twice within a five-minute interval due to network feeds. Even ads that are clever the first few times around become like Chinese water torture with subsequent airings again and again… 🙀

What further rankles my fur are the cheesy ads made on the cheap by local plumbers, car dealers, and furniture salesmen who think that they don’t need to use a professional advertising agency, and their ads are so poor as to be excruciating to watch. Talk about low production values! One car dealership in my area runs an ad with some guy wearing a panda head always on the screen. That’s not my circus, and those aren’t my monkeys… 🐼

This one is beyond comical ... Buy it, and it will change your Life!!!

With the State Primaries just a couple of weeks away, we are being swamped with political ads. Then, as the November elections near, I suspect that campaign commercials will be a real nuisance.

Totally concur with that. Years ago on YouTube I used to enjoy some of the ads and there was always a Skip option, but then one holiday weekend there was a Target ad, not intrinsically bad, but it had no Skip option and ran over and over all weekend. By the end of the weekend I had an ad blocker installed. That one Target ad ruined it for all the other advertisers.

The ads for ASPCA are the worst followed by World Wildlife Fund's elephant and tiger ads. Don't like 1-877-KARS-4KIDS since they've started accepting not just cars but houses and land too.

It wouldn't be so bad ?? If the kids actually received the largest portion of the donations ....... But I seriously doubt that they do . IMO it has just become a money maker for the administrators of the charity.

How'bout a few that we do like ?.......

I like the one where the little girl is riding in her safe seat , and dad is showing her how the car is futuristic .... and she ask her dad if fish get thirsty ...... LOL ....... only in the mind of a child !!

I also like the one where the big St-Bernard dog wants his peanut butter , he doesn't care that there might be medicine in the box ..... so long as there is peanut butter :)

I don't much like those Progressive Insurance ads where "Dr. Rick" coaches young people about how not to turn into their parents. Half the things he cautions against I do.
Ditto - they are demeaning and the reason that I will never consider getting a Progressive policy!
