I hear you!I have come to the realization that doctor's motives are not as pure as they once seemed to be. I watched my father start a drug, have to take another drug to counteract the ill effects of the first drug, repeat..........
I am not sure if it is because I am now on Medicare, because I moved to a rural area or just the changing nature of health care in general but it sure "ain't what it used to be". My doctor does not communicate, does not follow up, seldom offers a diagnosis and openly express the belief that he is not making the money he wants. Unfortunately there is not much in the way of medical professionals to choose from in this area. They seem to congregate in areas where the money is.
My "specialist" office sends out a letter signed with a mysterious Erin E. telling me there was no change in my results, but even someone as dumb as me can see the change in numbers ... so I had to interpret the results through Google, yikes. Then, when I need a prescription refill it is leave a message on their machine and wait for their automated return call with misinformation. They never miss the opportunity to bill Medicare!
