2023 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

Raining out there .. possible freezing rain coming, mixed with snow. It wasn't slippery while we were out,
but most people appeared to be driving carefully.

It's 42 degrees here now (3pm).. up until 30 minutes ago the sky was Blue and the sun was shining... I was just considering going out and the clouds have comletely covered the sky, and it's very grey... Like a different day to 1/2 hour ago...

Received around 2 inches of heavy, wet snow overnight. I'm not even going to bother shoveling it - it is mild enough that it will likely melt by itself.
Do you think it will dry out, Deb, and not freeze overnight? (Not suggesting that shoveling wet snow leaves a dry surface behind. Been there, done, that, know better.)

Back when I lived in the northeast, I remember slip-sliding on already shoveled but nevertheless glassy sidewalks and parking lot pavements. So dangerous at any age, but particularly as we get older.

Please be careful. 🤗

Same here, but I just checked the forecast. CA gets a break from the rain through Monday the 30th, then the next five days show rain, rain and more rain. Sometimes the forecasts change though. I'd be happy with a day or two of rain then, but five straight? Ugh...
I hear you.
Looks like our sunshine starts on Tuesday.

Then back to the rain.
I don't want to hear anything about a drought this summer!

If we get more storms in February and March I think they'll roll back drought level water restrictions. For now they're waiting to see if we're going to get a full rainy season or if it will be like last year - very soggy December and then the spigot turned off. Virtually no precipitation from January through November.
