Well Hawky , if you need company I'm joining you on the Back pain parade today.. !! It always happens when I've been out the day before on several errands. Driving a distance and in and out of the car. Trouble is I'm very active and energetic, and I have no problems jumping in and out of the car, never giving a thought to my back and what I'm going to suffer the next day or 2... jeez!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Anyway.. hope yours eases soon..

Oh well looks like my Teddy Onesie was not to be @Georgiagranny , lol....

Although it's Friday, we'll have the baby for a couple of hours this morning (DS has a dental appointment). After that I'll make some soup and straighten up a bit.

Happy to report that on Monday DS gave notice to his employer that he'll be leaving in two weeks for a place with more upward mobility opportunities. Plus a hefty raise in salary. Not so happy to report that he'll no longer have Fridays off, meaning neither will we. I love my 14 month old grandson like there's no tomorrow but 4 days a week X 9 hours per, is a lot of toddler daycare for a pair of semi-retired 70 year olds.

They're on a nearby daycare center's wait list but don't expect openings until June at the earliest. Fortunately, DIL has a few weeks off for spring break, which will also give us a break. (She wanted to work a couple of weeks during the break, but we said no-go to providing daycare.)

Decided to go for a walk round the grounds of Castle Fraser, but found that they were running special tours featuring rooms and artefacts not part of the usual tours. Some very interesting things like the 'priest hole' with an escape route through the kitchen chimney. There was a special door built in to the chimney that diverted the flue to allow the priest to escape. Amongst the other items was a rare first edition book by sir Walter Raleigh, ceremonial swords and one of 20 prosthetic legs owned by the laird after losing a leg during the Napoleonic wars.

Don't worry @hollydolly Marks and Spencers have several online - you can even have your initials added :)

Is that far from where you live ?:)
Seems he's probably gone now, so he will not mind my answering for him. :geek: :ROFLMAO:  :giggle:

It is a couple or a few States south of his rocky mountain home...... not close, but much closer than we on the East coast would be, by far!
Though Arizona might as well be on a different planet,;)
because the weather is warm and downright balmy in the U.S. SouthWest .Lucky him!🌵🌸🌞

Okay, I think that @Geezer Garage
would not have worded his own reply, the same as I did☺️, but I don't know if he'll be using Internet while there. Didn't want you wondering, till then, while he's enjoying the sunshine and warmth! 😃

No it's not a Teddy pattern... :ROFLMAO: It's that Teddy wool like Material...
Yes, but didn't you say it had bear ears? This one has lots of bears! Mind you, the initials are naff!

There's a Percy Pig one but I can't imagine anyone being brave enough to buy it let alone wear it :ROFLMAO:

This is far more sophisticated

None of them are the fluffy teddy fabric though :(

The weather forecast gets more and more dire every few hours. Now the weathernerds are saying that it's possible and even likely that there will be measurable sNOw on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Looks like a onesie would be just the ticket. Reckon I could wear it to work? As long as I wear my company shirt and apron over it, of course😂

And the good news is...a $2/hr raise retroactive to this past Sunday! Yippee. With a little luck, not too much of it will go to taxes.

More good news is that I work tomorrow sans New Lady (because she can't work weekends...it interferes with her catering business). The best part is that I won't have to listen to her laundry list of unbearable pain, how much money she has, how many boyfriends she has, details of the...um...active "social" life she lives, how she's opening a restaurant this year or how she's going to tell her doctor that she needs another MRI to find out what's wrong with her brain. Right. Prescribe to the doctor.

She's getting a little vague about the alleged hip surgery that she claimed she has to have.

I may or may not have suggested that she live one day with Sir's pain, then tell us again about hers. I also may or may not have suggested the possibility of early-onset Alzheimer's or dementia. although she's 60 so not so early. You know, because I wouldn't suggest anything so mean, even if my middle name is Snide.

@Geezer Garage will be in Aridzona just in time for dust season:(, when the wind🌬️ picks up every day around noonish and blows its real estate into New Mexico and West Texas. New Mexico and West Texas in turn, blow it to...somewhere else. If we were (un)fortunate enough to be outdoors when it started, the only way to keep from blowing away was to hang onto a light pole or whatever else was handy at the moment. At least @Geezer Garage won't have to shovel dust...it'll just blow away.

We'd tape our windows shut, put tape over the salt and pepper shakers, tape the lid to the sugar bowl...and still get the !@#$%&*! dust in everdamnthang, including in the medicine cabinet. It was as much fun as greensh!t (pollen) season in the South when there's a layer of that stuff everdamnwhere.

Our greensh!t washes away with the rain.

Its a windy 35* out,, overcast day here.

Feel like I'm stuck in a rut, same old, same old stuff.......
Moi aussi. Oddly, I feel that all this boredom and loneliness has resulted in some personal growth. Still seems a waste though.

Today, well ... Maybe a deep cleaning of the kitchen counter. I hate having it messy. Most places I've lived, there has been one messy heap (all those things that need to be dealt with or that don't have a home). Its current location is the corner of the counter.

Before that, I need to get cleaned up myself. That in itself is a daunting task.

Exercise, read some Schopenhauer.

I need to reply to personal messages from people on another forum.

I already have supper in the fridge, but I should cook up some ground beef before its expiry date. The cooked product can go in the freezer.

Talk to my language partner this evening.

Then bed! I mean, if I'm going to be bored, I might as well be relaxing, right?
