Hey, how's it going today for you? It's 2023. An alternate thread for different people.

Well...where are you all hiding...
I have some great news, but wondering whether I should accept or not.
Today I met up wth some friends from the dance class (the ones who are in a drama group).
They've asked me to do a solo in an upcoming production of Gilbert and Sullivan's operetta, the Mikado.
I would love to, but I am taking a trip overseas (incuding going to the Coronation) so rehearsals may be a bit difficult.
Have to put my thinking cap on.

Absolutely gorgeous Wednesday... The sun ☀️ is shining 😎 still at 14:30. We went out shopping to pick up our new door plaque. With our address and a Cat Memes.

We've had Morrisons' salads for lunch with miniature braided bubbles bread with garlic butter and Dr Pepper drinks. Dinner is a large pepperoni pizza from their deli shop.

Taking a wee break in front of Tele. Later on got to wash door windee to install plaque. Hopefully, we'll get good results. First our posties will know not to put our mail sonewhere's else now... Secondly, the guy with the taxi on Sunday mornings at 06:00 will know not to effing knock at the wrong address.

Finally, we'll have peace to sleep our precious weekend morns lol!

That local engraving shop is the best, bar none...

Have you ever heard the saying, "the faster I go, the behinder I get?" That's me today.

So far, I'm pretty happy with the weather. Just a little light snow and the sun keeps trying to peek through. I understand it's a very different story to the north, a blizzard kind of story.

Jamala, I have never liked swimming but you make it sound like such a good thing. I bet that's where the sauna is too. :)

Oh, my goodness. How could you doubt for a moment? Of course you must work out a way to accept such a great opportunity. And the coronation too. You know we Americans are still fascinated with royalty in spite of the unpleasantries of few centuries ago. I will no doubt watch on TV. 👑

I made my visit to the DMV yesterday and it was the best experience I've ever had in such a place. It was packed and I was really discouraged when I went in but they have made vast improvements. They were very fast, my own situation had a few problems due to the bank not handing it correctly, but the girl fixed things and I was out of there in just a bit over an hour. That's record speed for a government agency. I gave her the thanks and compliments she deserved. 👏

It sounds like you are having a great day Supernatural. You're making me hungry. I finally was able to buy a good salad yesterday so I think I'm make a sandwich and have salad with it. There should be enough left to have for dinner with some chicken and potatoes.

We have communal mail boxes here and it's not at all unusual to find the neighbor's mail in my box and vice versa. At least there is no bell associated with that. :)
 
Nasty winter storm for us in Southern Ontario! Snow, freezing rain, ice pellets, high winds, danger of blackoots lasting into tomorrow. The leading edge is already here, ergo we're heading for a quick oot n' aboot to stock up on some stuffs. Hope the vast majority of yinz's days are better n' mine, eh? :(:)

Well...I slept on it and yes, I am going to accept!
I have played the part of Yum Yum before in a London production of the Mikado..so not much learning to do.
Will be telling them today !

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Yes @Jamala until this afternoon when the postie didnae bother to read it and stuff mail for another neighbour two doors down. Had to deliver (so where's my payment lol) in my PJ's and robe as that particular one don't like us because we feed the birds. Aye, go figure!!!

It's nice having a funny friend to make you smile.

We are having a few sunny days before the next cold blast. I have the door open so the cats can look out. Sometimes the bunnies come right up to the porch steps and look at the cats and the cats get all excited. They know it's not another cat but they aren't sure what a bunny is.

Just took a german chocolate cake out of the oven. Doing another cook up for the week or several days. Took some ham out of the freezer, making some homemade mac and cheese. Have not decided on anything else at this point. I just try to cook when I feel up to being in the kitchen.

We are expecting some freezing rain so I will not be going out for a few days. Still adapting to new meds, had a fall saturday face first in the hall on the wood floor. Just got dizzy, next thing I know my legs just gave out. I must looked like a circus clown, waving my arms, trying to get my balance. LOL
I was immediately covered in dogs licking my face, arms and feet. I guess it scared them when they heard the big wham. They were ever so gentle until I could roll over and crawl to the bathroom vanity to pull myself up.
