The unvaccinated

I was (past tense) all in favor of the COVID vaccine and have had FOUR shots (the original two followed by two boosters). I was diagnosed with lymphoma (cancer of the immune system) in 2021 so the concern was that I wouldn't be able to fend off the COVID virus very well if I was unvaccinated.

Every six months I undergo blood work and a CT scan to determine if I am still in remission (thank God, I am). My most recent tests were in February (last month) and they literally saved my life.

The CT scan showed that I have blood clots in my right lung which originated as deep vein thrombosis likely in one of my legs or arms then broke off and traveled to my lungs. I had no symptoms such as shortness of breath, difficulty taking a deep breath, or redness or pain in my legs or arms. Had I not had the CT scan, I would not have known about the clots until something more severe had occurred.

I firmly believe the clots were caused by the COVID vaccine because:
  • The CT scan I had in August 2022 did not show any clots so they developed sometime after that.
  • I had the fourth (and my final) COVID vaccine in October 2022.
  • The clots were detected in February 2023 but developed at some point before that
I am now on a blood thinner (Xarelto) for at least six months. The blood thinner won't clear the clots but it will help prevent new ones from forming while my body works on dissolving the clots.

I will never, ever get another vaccine. Ever.

And I am eternally grateful to God for blessings received.

Here is what Johns Hopkins has to say about getting vaccinated. I would add that my wife and I are Kaiser patients and have received all the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines and boosters with zero ill effects.

“Does Johns Hopkins Medicine recommend that I get a COVID-19 vaccine?

Yes, we recommend that everyone who is eligible get vaccinated with one of the currently authorized mRNA COVID-19 vaccines: Pfizer or Moderna. We view both as highly effective in preventing serious disease, hospitalization and death from COVID-19 (including disease caused by the very contagious delta and omicron variants of the coronavirus), and we believe that their benefits outweigh their risks.
At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we offer Pfizer and Moderna vaccines throughout our vaccine clinic.”

All said, I couldn't add much more. I have the inherited thrombophilia (blood clotting disorder) 'Factor V Leiden' and would be more than silly to get shots. My phlebologist asked if I'm vaccinated and I answered "would you get a shot which could produce blood clots with a disease which already makes you prone to them? He didn't answer.
My doctor had a different reaction when I saw him for a Rx refill last year. It was during the mask mandates.
He said, "Well, when we're all vaccinated, we can get rid of these stupid masks."
I said, "I'm not interested in the vaccine."
I was really surprised when he said, "You know, there's something to be said for that."

Gee, what a shocker! A group of doctors touting the benefits of a vaccine - that has been shown to have zero benefits!
Good thing there's no bias there. 😂
You really expect Johns Hopkins to say:
"Well, OK, we know Covid vaccines offer no protection whatsoever & they can cause harm, but we want everyone to get them, anyway."

There is one way that the authorities can encourage people to be vaccinated - make them limited in some way so that only certain categories of people can access them. The result will be outrage and a demand for vaccines for everyone.

Radical thinking? Not really. When Matthew Flinders was a sea captain it was just beginning to dawn on the medical profession that scurvy was caused by a vitamin C deficiency. James Cook used lime juice to protect his sailors and Flinders decided to use pickled cabbage in the form of sauerkraut for his crew.

The English, being English, were not going to eat that "foreign muck" so he ordered it to be served only in the officers' mess. The crew were soon knocking on his cabin door demanding their daily ration of the life saving food. If they had been told that they must eat it, they would have spat it out.

His plan worked. Scurvy did not ravage his crew as it usually did on long sea voyages. Clever man, Matthew Flinders. He is one of my favourite explorers.

IMO, that is what is going on with Covid vaccines and antivirals. I've had all of both that I am entitled to. When I am entitled to my next booster I will be knocking on the door of my doctor's surgery demanding my right to be vaccinated.

Here is a real-life example of the Dunning-Kruger Effect...

People who dispute scientific consensus on topics such as vaccine efficacy, climate change or the Big Bang tend to overestimate their own knowledge of these subjects, a new study has shown.

The study, led by scholars at Brown University, Portland State University and the University of Colorado Boulder, surveyed thousands of Americans online, quizzing them on scientific facts and soliciting their opinions on eight contested topics, including the COVID-19 vaccine.

The scholars found that respondents who answered more factual questions correctly were more likely to agree with the scientific consensus about each topic. On the other hand, those who answered many factual questions incorrectly but thought they understood certain topics well were more likely to disagree with the scientific consensus. For example, many who said in July 2020 that they would “definitely not get the vaccine” incorrectly answered questions about how viruses spread and how vaccines work, but then said they thought they had a “thorough understanding” of how a COVID-19 vaccine would work.

Ben, the people who've been disputing scientific consensus of the mRna vaccine are politicians, the FDA, and the WHO. Though it's more accurate to say they've been ignoring scientific consensus. Because that's profitable.

Leanne, you shouldn't avoid all vaccines. There are numerous issues with mRna vaccines, and mostly among people under 40. Also, mostly among men under 40.

Vaccines are a very good thing. It's just the ones that use the mRna delivery system you should be wary of. But even so, for seniors over 65, especially seniors with health problems, the benefits outweigh the risks.

Show us a Reliable Plausible MEDICAL source that claims that the vaccines and especially the boosters of Pfizer and Moderna have “zero benefits”. Forgive me if I don‘t hold my breath waiting.
The Cochoran Report is a good source. Plus it has references to other sources.

Also note that the US Congress has called for an in-depth investigation due to recent findings.

That's a good analogy. Fighting disease with a vitamin was a new idea, just as mRna vaccines were a few years ago. The problem is, it's now very clear there are serious problems with the mRna model.

That report IS a medical source.

El C, the zero benefit thing pertains to specific age groups and also to how long the mRna vaccine protection lasts - it has zero benefit for healthy children; the current booster offers zero benefit after about 6 weeks.

...the current booster offers zero benefit after about 6 weeks.

Natural immunity, however, lasts 10 months according to a recent meta analysis discussed in this thread. But remember the people who were not allowed to return to school, work etc following recovery unless they were vaccinated? Even when tests showed they had antibodies? Covid natural immunity studies are showing it's just like any other virus in confuring immunity after infection which anyone with a modicum of sense and a bit of understanding of how our bodies work knew all along. As @chic mentioned above, censorship played a role in the distrust of natural immunity like so many other aspects during the pandemic.

If there is a “Cochoran” Report my search engine is having trouble finding it. In any case I hope you understand we were not discussing vaccination of babies or children. So how about a link to a Reliable Plausible MEDICAL source that claims that the vaccines and especially the boosters of Pfizer and Moderna have “zero benefits” - for us adults?

Oh man, sorry, I spelled it wrong. It's Cochrane, and it's The Cochrane Review.

Also there are several medical lecture videos on YouTube that discuss these findings and they all have links to the studies that show the data. If you want, try Drbeen Medical Lectures, Dr. John Campbell, Medicine With Dr. Moran, or Dr. Suneel Dhand

...or just put your inquiry in the YouTube search bar.

Yes, I do remember. Also remember people's business licenses being revoked, and their businesses being forced to install protective plexiglass screens and decals of feet on the floors every 6 feet, drive-thru windows, all new ventilation systems and all that garbage.

And yeah, natural immunity isn't talked about much. Not in print, anyway.

I miss those decals. I also miss those plexiglass panels with the big openings in them - that let in hands, but not viruses. :ROFLMAO:

Sorry, but what I wanted was a real link to a genuine medical source that offered proof that has convinced you, and would convince me, of the useless nature of Covid vaccines — something more than a bunch of names. Bottom line my wife and I have been Vax’d and Boosted several times, will continue to do so, and I would encourage others, particularly of our age, to seriously consider doing the same, particularly when endorsed by their doctors.

I have COPD, DH is diabetic. We had 3 shots and one booster when we both got covid. It wasn't as bad as a heavy cold would have been. All I can say for sure is we both were so glad we had all the shots! Now we have had a second booster and hoping for the 3rd booster soon.

Denying a human being of their right to life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness is no way to convince someone of anything. The outrage will be over the denial of their God-given right to make their own decisions. Their body, their choice.

Vitamin C didn't cause heart attacks or blood clots to these individuals with scurvy.

My friend, an ER doc of 35 years & who teaches at a medical college, has said that the lock downs, masks & vaccinations were all about control & did nothing to stop the spread. He isn't the only one in the medical community to believe this.

If anyone feels the needs to take these shots, then please feel free to take them yourself.

When I joined the Navy we were required to take a series of vaccinations. Refusing was not an option. Did I object to this? Not at all. In the military you do as ordered. On the other hand, if members of this forum decide to refuse vaccination that is their decision, but when they attempt to convince others to join them in that decision l feel compelled to put in my 2 cents worth, and the argument begins. Do you object?
