I am now hooked on a silly realty tv series so watching back episodes to catch up. Farmer Wants A Wife is the name of it and if you ask me why I am watching it you would be met with a blank stare cause I have no idea.

I spent a productive morning.....now back to the show and an unproductive afternoon.

I've seen an episode or 2 of that a couple of series ago.. and I can see how you could get hooked on it.. I didn't,however , but I am guilty of watching other reality shows...🤪

Took me a while to catch up on this thread. Lots of goings-on with all of you!

Yesterday DH & I worked on cutting the new solar pool cover to fit. Today we'll trim it further and be ready for the season. It keeps the pool warm, drastically cuts evaporation, and reduces the amount of chlorine we have to use. Win/win/win!

I've got some business ordering to do this morning, have to get Roomba started on his rounds, and should put a load of laundry the washer, then will run it for five minutes in the dryer to blow out the wrinkles before letting everything dry completely on my fancy-shmancy dryer that I learned about from @MickaC, right here on this forum!

Only 68° for a high today, but it'll warm up over the course of the week, hitting 92° by Saturday before settling down into the 80s. Fortunately, overnight lows will be about 60°, so with early morning fans in use I probably won't need to flip on the AC just yet.

Star, I have the same drying rack only it's aluminum...or not painted white. Years ago I used it all the time, but getting lazy and using the dryer machine more often now. 😞

Just got the best news in the world ... my two oldest grandkids are coming for a visit this weekend.
I haven't seen them in 5 years. .. they were last here for my 75th birthday.

The oldest, my GD is almost 32 years old now, and GS is 27 ... they live in Illinois ... and she is bringing her longtime beau to meet the family.
Their parents divorced years ago ... Dad (my son), lives in Houston, and their Mom lives in Wisconsin.
Can't wait to see them again. Party time!
So happy for you Bonnie! Have a wonderful time. 🥳🎉👯‍♀️👯‍♂️

Grandkid visits are the best! Have fun!

I’ve seen the show advertised…..sounds like it’s a good one, Lee.

yes I'm in the same boat, Lady.. everything that needs doing, is down to me alone... it's a right royal PITA.. or Pain in my knees and hip as it has been today tbh.. . the torrential rain has stopped, and I've been out and cleaned down the front door and doorstep.. I don't know where the dirt comes from but having a white door and all glass frames, it gets filthy after heavy rain.. so I have to clean it down after every time it rains hard..
I did the exact same thing to day , before the food delivery , went out cleaned the door step and window sills , I hate to see dirty steps and sills ,
my neighbour im joined onto dont bother and it looks bad , the property is up for sale but I dont see many buyers looking , needs a good spring clean both house and garden to encourage anyone to look .

Oh that would really upset me if I had an adjoining neighbour who didn't look after their property... nooooo.. I would hate that. Hopefully someone will buy it and keep it looking nice and you won't have to see that.. but of course firstly it needs Kerb appeal to get them over the doorstep..

So…. Although I’m no longer married to my ex-husband, the one thing I did keep from my wedding was the “Juliet cap” that held my wedding veil…. My mom made the covering with her own bobbin lace. ( see below)

but all these years, it’s just sat there and I was trying to think of a way to make it into something useful.

when my older granddaughter stayed one night at my house, I realized the need for a nightlight (she sleeps with one in her room at my daughter’s apartment). So I made a lining that fit the inside of the cap and ordered a battery operated nightlight with a dimmer switch. Now if she needs to stay overnight, she’ll have what she needs and my mother’s handiwork is put to good use 😊

It is a strange ozzie show and started off quite normal and honest a few years back but like all things entertainment has just turned into slush and the show is now engineered to entertain to a bizzare level and is not a true representation of ozzie farming life

Yesterday did not go as planned. I was due to leave home 11am to spend the afternoon with my grandson. At 9:30, Buffy had an incident, so I couldn't leave her. I told my son, who took the day off to be with us in case Buffy needed the vet. She didn't. The incident lasted a very short amount of time, but very scary for me. Scarier for Buffy.

I want to assure everyone that when her time does come Buffy will not suffer, we wouldn't allow it. She is her fine, loving, purring self; eating, drinking, litter box, walking, looking to be petted.

For Buffy and my DIL Mother's Day is changed. We will all meet here, in my apartment, on Saturday so my grandson can play with her & my dil wants to brush her. Reservations have been made at my local Italian joint which dil claims is 100% authentic cuisine.

DIL is finding Mother's Day hard. She mourns her four miscarriges. I never knew this. I don't feel comfortable going to them on Sunday, I don't want to leave Buffy. Love her so much, so sad we won't be old ladies together for as long as I planned.

Today will do laundry and buy my grandson's BD gift, a remote controlled vehicle.

I'm headed out to Tractor Supply for a tire tube for the rototiller, then to Mavis Tire to get it put in. This tiller is less than a year old, and I've had to replace both tubes already. I started the area for planting raspberries when the tire went flat, but I'll get that done today. My dear friend and neighbor, Jason, is coming over this afternoon. We are going to lay down a tarp and pull out everything in the big shed and go through it. When I moved back out here last Summer I shoved bags and boxes, dozens of them, in the shed. When I open the door, all you can see is a mountain of packed stuff piled on top of each other. Way in the far back left corner is a ton of beekeeping supplies. Jason just got his bees a few days ago, and I no longer keep bees, so I am gifting him everything. Several years ago a bear came through and destroyed my hives, and that ended it for me. This feels like I'm passing it down to the next generation, even though we aren't related. So, the rest of the day will be garden-related. Get the raspberries in the ground, and I have 2 peach trees and a dwarf cherry to be planted. It's too early to plant the vegetable garden, have to wait about 2 more weeks here. My nephew broke his leg a few days ago and is having surgery this afternoon, so I'll be praying for him (and my sister/his mother).

Not doing anything of note today. Got the usual chores done... ( it's 12.40pm here now).. it's dry and semi sunny, 60 deg f.. but rain is forecast for this afternoon.

If you remember me telling you about the new neighbours across the way who tore up all the hedging.. and started that 6 weeks ago.. well they are still at it. It's been a daily round of trucks and diggers for the last month and a half (even in the rain) .. so it's noisy here where I sit with my window ajar.. It looks like they might be creating a huge drive and parking area.. but in the meantime they're creating havoc by parking all their vehicles in this road and preventing people who live here from parking near their homes

Anyway.. nothing more to report from this corner of the world..:D

Lucky Jason! Good luck to your nephew.

Mine is actually aluminum silver, not white. I've been copy photo/pasting the photo @MickaC posted. Looks like we're both being lazy!
