Got ready to start the pizza dough yesterday afternoon and realized there was no available freezer space for the finished pizzas. Good thing I checked! We'll focus on eating frozen foods this week so pizza can shift to next weekend's schedule.

No need to go to the stores this weekend - took care of that during the week. Plus ⬆️.

Today's tasks include laundry, a little invoicing and some other business paperwork catch-ups.

Wish I lived nearby @hollydolly so we could go to your county fair together!

To day after walking the dog we went in search of a small molded pond to make a wild life pond , finally found one and got some oxegenator plants and a Iris as well ,,,this is not for me by the way .But If it does well and look nice ,,I may get one for my garden , it would be nice to get a frog or Toad , and damsel fly.

Well that would have been nice Star, however I did go alone.. and it was very strange to be there by myself...last time I was there of course the Estarnged O/H was there too... however.. there were thousands of people, literally... . I got there at around mid-day.. and 6 car parks were already full.... I always make it a policy not to go anywhere on a holiday weekend, because the traffic on the motorway is so bad... and today was no different.. however I did get there.. and there was lots to see.. altho' the timetable for certain things was for 2 hour or more later , or I'd just missed them, so I missed some Gymkhana shows.. but I did get their prize winning ceremony.. so not all bad.. Mainly livestock.. sorry @CinnamonSugar , I couldn't find the pigs.. but there was plenty cattle and sheep...

Here's a couple of Pics.. I'll post more later on the photo thread..

I did get to see the last 15 minutes of some Carriage racing for small horses.. where I sat up in the stadium seats..

I have been busy today, after our morning walk mostly household chores. Ordered groceries from InstaCart earlier. Cleaned the bunny cage and took a break to watch my favorite decorating show. Now I am in the process of making the first batch of cornbread flavored chaffles (no cheese in mine). Having a pleasant day.

I was lucky to get a seat because it was already full up with people who'd been watching the show.. and I'd just got there for the last 15 minutes, and the next show wasn't to be for another 2 hours.. but anyway it was pleasant to watch and the crowd were giving the riders lots of encouragement..

Out of interest... how much is a ticket for a county show in any of your states ?... It was £25 today... that's just admission only.. all food and drink is hugely expensive.. for example, a sugar and Lemon crepe was £11.50...

I didn't mind paying to go in, I'm just interested in the comparison..

On the way home the motorway was congested, but not as bad as going, because the direction to the county show is also the motorway to Heathrow Airport..and they said on the radio news..that this is the biggest holiday getaway for the airlines since pre pandemic 2020... on the return journey the news announced that there had been a big computer meltdown at Heathrow, and people were standing in the boiling heat in corridors for over 3 hours...

At the show, I bought a Pair of Equestrian leggings, they're a top name, and they are so much better than normal leggings... I also got 2 linen/cheesecloth mid sleeve tops in Navy blue and Royal...

The queues for the food stands and bars were huge regardless of what type of food it was or how expensive it was... so I waited until the lunch time queues died down.. and I found a fish and chip stall which had a short queue.. and .. were selling kid size meals as well. I'm not tight but I am not going to pay £20 for cod and chips.. and so I got a little kid portion which was way plenty for me.. for £6.00 which is what an adult portion would cost in a normal regular fish and chip shop

I have worn myself down cleaning around the computer
desk....had to pull it away from wall and vacuum and use some
glass cleaner on some items...but at least it will look better
than it did....now to get the spectrum guy in to hook up
the wireless for the new chrome book....wheww....worn outl.....

@hollydolly local “county” fairs average 5-10 dollars to get in; state fairs are 10-15 dollars admission (lower prices are seniors). But of course you pay separate for any carnival rides and, yes, food is pricy and not great

Wow ! that's a huge difference in price... £25 here this year.. I got the senior concession.. I never usually ask for that anywhere, but it reduced the price by £3... it did make me laugh tho'.. When I asked for a senior concession I just wanted the woman to ask who it was for... but No...she just gave it to me without question...😧🤣

I have been off the board for a few days. The littlest of my dogs decided to do a run across my laptop during a storm the other night. Don't know what she did but it messed up the darn thing. I finally got down to the library today to google how to fix it. So easy it was silly. I sure have missed you all.

You have all been so busy. Best wishes to all those not feeling well and cheers to those who are caregiving!!

Holiday weekend, no special plans. Want to make a lasagna, a cake or pie but won't do that until tommorrow. Son is scheduled to come do the yard work tomorrow afternoon when he gets off work.

Today while out on urban streets exercising, as a break wandered about some at a local Whole Foods market and at the checkout, passed a few feet from the most beautiful young woman's face I've seen in years. Maybe about 20 years old, 5'7", Northeastern European ancestory, no makeup with gorgeous young female skin. Some young women have wonderfully baby fat soft smooth skin. I shyly just glanced at her a couple times. She was with an older woman that may have been her mother. Would enjoy just looking at her face for hours. Her face is already fading away in my memory though wish it won't. She looked somewhat like a celebrity I cannot yet place. Would be useful if there was a website with lots of thumbnails of people's faces from across the world.

@hawkdon Your garden has a good start with the Heinzelmännchen. They're elves! They'll keep an eye on whatever you grow. If you grow anything :)

It's time to bake🥐🥐🥐

Wudju believe that I got sweet-talked into working tomorrow? I swear that all Sir has to do is look at me with puppy-dog eyes, and I'm a pushover. I guess he'd do it for me. If I don't work, he has to work alone. Nobody should have to work in the bakery alone. New Lady and Newest Lady both have to work at other places in the store tomorrow.

At least he volunteered to pick me up...at 5am...so that DD doesn't have to get up on her birthday at the crack of dawn to take me. Um. Because instead of working 6-11, I'm going to work 5-10. Yup. 5-10. So much for refusing to work on my day off:mad: How do I let myself get roped into stuff? Oh. Yeah. Puppy-dog eyes.

I was woken at 6am by my dog , let her out to toilet , went and made a mug of Coffee and when i let her back in I went back to bed , the Mug of Coffee slipped out my hand all over my bed , gawd , i jumped up and first got my cover in the Washer , then the Quilt it self , then the Sheet and last bedspread . so the washer went on 3 times ,, Im pleased to say the Coffee came out before it stained ..Not the way I wanted to spend my early Sunday morning .
Theres a nice breeze blowing so im sure the bedding will be dry soon and I can start making my bed again . I have lots of bedding but this was a new quilt cover and id only put it on this last week and i really liked it ..
For my breakfast this morning I had a nice piece of Rainbow Trout , done in butter with some parsley chopped , and a squeeze of lemon , it was yummy .
listening to alexa playing 50s songs , so many nice songs and singers coming up .
Have a nice day all .

That is some way to get woke up! Hope you had more coffee.

Another gloriously hot day.. just right for me, without being too hot. Tempted as I am to go out , I've been out 2 days in a row and my back is hurting with all the driving and walking around.. altho' my knees feel better for it .

Instead this afternoon I'm going into the garden. I've already been out there this morning with my trusty electric trimmer, and cut back all the Ivy on the Brick shed.. before it got too hot. It's all waiting for me to rake up now.... Later I'll mow the lawns. We've had hardly any rain since I mowed last time, yet both lawns have grown at least 5 inches.. .. .

If I can I'm going to get the tall ladders out and clear off the moss from the top of my stone porch... I don't know where it comes from, I get my gutters cleaned of moss regularly..

Anyway that should be enough for today , and give me a little rest from the last couple of days of running around..

Morning all folks!!! it is beautiful outside 58F and going to
85F later today...slept well because I wore myself out yesterday
cleaning around this computer desk....starting to feel some
sore spots from muscle aches LOL....dunno yet what I'll get

we speak....have a great day all.....:)
