What are you doing today 2023

Sanding the rough edges of the picnic table
then
staining

Then
(be still my heart).....cleaning out from underneath the bench seat of the truck cab
Then
tightening up the seat covers

I know
exiting

Tomorrow.....filling the kiddie pool

But that's tomorrow

I feel for ya, @Gary O' ... as a travel nurse (car also known as Rolling Supply Room), when I clean under the seats it's more like an archeological dig =P

Today will be a little more laid back then yesterday... I've got some shopping and cooking ahead to do but nothing strenuous (I hope). Want to get a walk in (S. Georgia has actually had a Spring this year, so I want to take advantage of the nice weather--usually we go from winter straight to summer). A few bushes need a final trim.

In prep for up-coming trip, I will be 'practice packing' to work out how to get a week's worth of clothing/toiletries in an under-the-seat rolling suitcase. Since I'm staying at a friend's home, I can do wash anytime, so I don't have to take as many clothes. The feeling of freedom to be able to exit the airline and not have to wait around the luggage carousel is lovely.

The birdies were yaking when they woke me up at 5:15am I dozed until 5:50,figured I'm awake now. On my early walk at 6:15,temp was 64 with a slight breeze as I strolled halfway down my street. I came back to water plants/ flowers in garden
I knew it was going to be another hot, sunny day here, after breakfast I took my long walk of the day 25 min to local grocery store, Price Right. They open at 8am, ,I was out of there in 15 min. I just got back 10 min ago took the bus home
I have no other plans today, this afternoon may go sit out in the garden in the shade reading my book

I’ve travelled for years with carryon only. Depending on the plane, not all under-the-seat space is the same. My overhead suitcase goes above, my very lightweight Eddie Bauer backpack is very scrunchable and fits under any seat.

Well it's been a grey day today.. a little colder than it has been all week, but it suited me because this morning, I felt kinda Blah... so I did nothing at all.. but around 3pm the sun came out , and I perked up a bit then.

Took delivery of a parcel... hung out some washing that prefers to dry outside than in the dryer, and it took just an hour to dry.. .. sorted some fish in batter for dinner later.. washed up.. cleaned the bathrooms... changed the bed..and then DD rang on her way home from work.. she's got the lurgy and her throat feels like razor blades when she talks, so I didn't keep her on the phone.. hopefully she'll be better tomorrow :)

Avoiding a standoff with a deer while jogging. It kept walking toward me but I threw a handful of small rocks and it backed off a bit, but then still followed from a distance. This rarely happens (like once every 10 years) but I don’t want to get in a boxing match as their sharp hooves can really hurt you and some have been hurt this way.

@Dave03 Did you get a hot dog? More than 2 oz of beer?

Hey, y'all! Sit up and take notice. This is one of those larger-than-life, only-happens-to-other-people things: I've just been contacted by a reporter with the WSJ. He wants to interview me for a story about workers aged 80+. No fooling. He asked if I'd be willing to chat with him on the phone. I said "Hell to the yes!"

ooooh fantastic... this will be your chance to speak for all oldies who want to work, and those who are already working and the problems and benefits associated ..if you can..

@hollydolly That's it: If I can!

Years ago Whatsisname, the Father of My Children, tried to get me to make commercials with him. I got mic fright and couldn't do it.

In this case, though, it'll just be the reporter and me on a phone call so as long as I don't get all tongue-tied, it'll be fine.

When DH and I were on Donahue, it wasn't like being on camera; it was more like sitting in somebody's living room and having a chat. But once when I was out sNOwblowing in September, a camera crew from a TV station 100 miles away (where they had no sNOw) saw me and tried to get me to talk, it was hopeless. All they wanted to know what how I felt about sNOwblowing in September. I said it's okay, but ask me again January.

BTW, I may or may not sell autographs. LOL
