Hope you're ok, OS. We had a big one earlier this week, too.The weather here in NB was a bit gusty with some showers but Nova Scotia's coastline really got it yesterday! Horrendous thunderstorms and rain. Roads are washed out, just about everyone's basement is flooded. In the Halifax HRM it is the worst flooding since a hurricane hit in 1971! My younger daughter lives there and they had to dig a ditch to divert the water away from the walls of their home. Regrettably some got in just the same! Quite the mess all around!
No doubt about it, not looking forward to it.Looking at your weather with interest ..... that will be us in 6 months.
And you'll be sizzling
Yep, it's a stalled front that's been affecting the whole Eastern Seaboard!Hope you're ok, OS. We had a big one earlier this week, too.

We got hit with Fiona last year but weren’t affected by the fires. At the moment we are getting hit with substantial rainfalls. In the last 2 days we are receiving up to 100 ml of rain. Bridges are being washed away and 4 people are missing. People were warned not to drive and did anyway and some got washed away down the rivers. The Province I consider home has had more than its share of destructive weather events during the past year.
First there was Hurricane Fiona, then a late spring killer frost, ruining quite a few of our crops, then we had the wildfires recently, destroying 151 homes in the Halifax area, now enough rainfall for three months, all in one day, with immense damage, in the same area!
I feel terrible for the people affected. I may live in New Brunswick but I left my heart in N.S.
I hope your daughter is ok Old Salt. Halifax got hit hard.
