What are you doing today 2023

Lots of laundry and organizing things. A burial for one of my two plants. There’s obviously a reason I shouldn’t be allowed to own these things. This one was basil. Sigh.

Really hot today. I didn’t have the energy to walk. That’s not me. Had a really poor sleep last night. Hope it’s better tonight.
Jules, you sound like me. I've killed every plant I ever owned, even a snake plant and that's not supposed to be possible. I finally gave up and got pretty silk plants, including hanging ones. When it's too hot to walk outside, would you consider walking inside to fitness videos? I like Leslie Sansone and my honorary daughter just sent me a link for Lucy Wyndham-Read. I'm going to check her out too because I really need to get back to walking. It's been very hot and humid here, even early in the morning. I'm in the northeastern part of the U.S.

It is 3:40AM and a cool 76 degrees out side!!n Turned the A/C off and opened the doors and windows..But we will be going back to the same old same old!!

I never know from one day to the next.
I think I'm going to work on a little garden site where I'm adding white rocks instead of pine mulch. I'll put weed cloth down first, but before that I have to move a big planter. I'll need help with that.
I also want to get out and do some errands.

It's gonna be a humid night there and worse tomorrow. If ya can go to a motel until you get that AC changed. (y)
In a couple of hours it will be down into the mid 70's open all windows and turn on a couple of fans, sleeping in the nude will help also.

Some friends are going to an art festival called burningman. I am not going this year but I am helping them to prepare. I am building eight playateck plywood lounges that fit together easily and come apart for storage. Six finished today and two more tomorrow morning before it gets to 102 degrees. Someday i will learn not to say "Sure I can do that"

Five per cent of UK homes have A/C ( from the Mintel Report). We are in that 5%.

We have two split systems
One in the recreation room/conservatory.

The other in the kitchen where everyone
hangs out.

The climate is obviously changing rapidly and more and more
homes in the UK are installing A/C.

I don't need A/C, I need a heater! It's supposed to be summer, but it's more like a mild winter here. Once again it's single figure temps overnight and low teens during the day. Heating fires up most mornings and makes the house comfortable. I may have to order a top up of heating oil (Kerosene) a month or so earlier than normal.

Not sure what to be doing today. It will depend on the weather.

I slept until 5:30. Maggiecat was not happy having to wait for her breakfast.

Yesterday was DGS's 25th birthday, and we went out for dinner at his favorite restaurant (well, his current favorite). I had grilled salmon and ate every. single. bite. Yup. All of it. Too full for dessert so I ordered their special bread pudding to take home, if you can imagine bread pudding being special. About a year ago, DD and DGD had lunch there and brought some home for me. It really is special, and...I'm gonna have it for breakfast.

Today is a day off. Yippee. There are plenty of things to keep me busy inside and out. Yanno. The usual laundry. Vacuuming (I may even dust today). Stuff that wants to be done in the garden.

I gotta get started so I can get out to the garden before it gets too hot. Supposed to be hot and dry all week.
