Today Friday 7/21 just after mid day, will drive the 55 miles up to the north shore of SF, as there is an outdoor free street music event at the touristy wharf area with a Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix cover band playing for a couple hours. Still in the glow of the 3 epic Dead & Company shows from last weekend. Sunny 68F minor breeze forecast.

I'm learning to appreciate fresh ginger more. Having succeeded in making a refreshing no-caffeine "iced tea" with ginger and cinnamon sticks, I decided to try a side dish. Carrots should go well with ginger, n'est-pas? So cooked some carrot slices with chopped ginger, drained, then put in a non-stick sauce pan and added about 1/2 a tablespoon of apricot fruit spread and gently cooked til the fruit spread melted and coated the carrots. I'll let it set overnight and have with ham tomorrow. Stay tuned for how that turned out =D

6:54 am and catching up on my iPad stuff. In about half hour I will go out and make coffee and breakfast for both of us. Not much on my schedule today but I’m sure I can find some trouble to get into somewhere. So nice out this morning.

That's a long drive @Cinnamon Sugar. Let's hope that having something to look forward to (like going home) will provide the impetus to work hard at rehab.

DS and his husband brought lunch. Usually we eat on the patio, but today it was just too 🔥 🔥. We had roast beast with carrots and onions. Yum. It was going to be Thanksgving in July, but finding a turkey in July? It didn't happen! The roast beast was delicious, though😋

I worked alone this morning. Sigh. Friday is Sir's day off. And Transferred Lady will be back on Sunday. Yippee.

It's "only" 92 but the feels like temp is 102. Today's rain looks like it's going get close, then go around us. Drat.

I’ll ask Thelma if I can send you some. :LOL: I know nothing about flowers but I use to raise a heck of a garden. It’s so quiet and peaceful here in the morning.
 
Just finished another woodburning today for a realtor. Dark colored animals are extremely hard to do because their features just all blend together. She's happy though, and I guess that's all that matters. It's kinda funny in a way because it's a woodburning, and the dog's name is Ash.

That’s great. You are good at wood burning. I’ve done quite a bit of it but nothing close to the level you’re at. That’s really nice.
What type of wood is that?
It looks a bit like poplar.
What other types of subjects have you done?
Do you ever give them away as gifts?

Yes, I caught them, I’m holding one grouper, and one red snapper. That’s a different red snapper than you catch on your Pacific Coast. The other fish, or an assortment, including more grouper, more snapper, different kinds, and a few other things.

I am having fun, thanks for asking.

You’re a good fisherman. That’s impressive. We don’t get snappers here and I’m right next to the Atlantic Ocean. Are you eating them?

On Amazon Prime Day I chose the 'No Rush' shipping option that gave me an extra percent back, so yesterday and today I have been inundated with packages. I have no idea why I ordered dinner spoons, I remember doing it but I think now I must have meant to get teaspoons - don't really need any so am shaking my head at myself. I've managed to put together the cat tree (cat is ignoring it so far). And I put together the little narrow table I bought to set mail on when I come in the door. I even ironed a handkerchief on my new ironing board with my new iron. All the little jars of fabric paint, brushes, etc have arrived. Now I just need to find the courage to try painting on a t-shirt (will start with the handkerchief as the initial experiment).
