There's gals at the gym from early 60s to mid 80s that look amazing in their yoga pants-gym outfits.
I agree, fishnet stockings have always had a rather sleazy connection in lots of minds. I remember going to ballet class when I was a little girl and over hearing the row of mothers whispering about our dance teacher the day she wore fish nets with her usual black leotard. It wasn’t meant as a sexist insult.
I think when older women go out with short skirts , fishnet stockings and extra colourful high heels, it looks desperate for attention and desperation is never an attractive look. Others may feel differently but they’re wrong.I’m only kidding. It’s just not anything I would wear at this age. If fact, I’ve never worn fishnet stockings. Was never a fan of them so I’m probably biased.
Nope, we were never allowed to wear them. Growing up in a conservative household, knee-high was the standard.Any Mini Skirt girls here?

Fishnet stockings were famous for can can girls and prostitutes back in the day but they made a come back in goth wear and punk fashion. Many guys like them still for that bad girl reputation.I agree, fishnet stockings have always had a rather sleazy connection in lots of minds. She could come over at dinner time without a casserole. Assuming her brain matches the quality of her body. No! It’s not an attractive look. Then again, I’m not a guy.![]()
I don’t understand the first paragraph or the second for that matter. Some people like the colour orange. It’s a bit loud but we don’t all have the same tasteShe could come over at dinner time without a casserole. Assuming her brain matches the quality of her body.
the other day I saw a lady of similar age with orange hair, orang shoe laces, white pants and an orange stripped shirt. She looked ridiculous. All her taste was in her mouth.
To be fair here, the question was asked if any of us wore mini skirt girls with a photo of young women with very short mini skirts.People in So Cal aren't particularly uptight about what others choose to wear. It's a casual lifestyle and we see all manner of personal expression. Truth is, if we got our panties in a bunch every time we noticed a clothing, hair or makeup statement that was a little odd (on any age person), we wouldn't be able to walk straight.
Live and let live...
It’s a lovely skirt and looks great on you but it’s no where close to the pic the OP presented us with.I still wear skirts and shorts above knee length. Not micro minis, mind you. Am lucky to have no varicose veins.
Taken yesterday when DH & I took baby grandson to the beach.

That’s quite attractive. While I’m not a big fan or bold orange, I like lighter shades of it including peach or tangerine.I don't see any "bad taste" about white pants and an orange striped shirt. Seems like a nice summer outfit to me.![]()
The maxi coat was so cool. I had some short mini skirts and some flowered bell bottom pants. Those were some very FuN fashions.By the time I was able to wear the mini skirt and hot pants they were going out of fashion. I loved the midi skirt, but best of all the maxi coat.
My favourite winter outfit was my maxi coat and Russian fur hat (not real fur) and black leather boots.
I thought mini was no longer in fashion.
Bottom line: if one is young or mature and has good, shapely legs then the short stuff looks good.... however and this is only my own personal opinion. If the thighs are heavy, don't wear them.
I still wear my maxi coats in the winter. I have several in different coloursThe maxi coat was so cool. I had some short mini skirts and some flowered bell bottom pants. Those were some very FuN fashions.
Actually it IS the forum. I can type out that word on other forums.@JustDave, it's not the forum, it's Google's rules and this is on it's engine (or whatever you call it.) I don't mind, I keep finding it amusing the way we all find ways to get around it.
