The Irish still have, and use, Gaelic, but English is widespread. Now if you want an example of: "What you see is not what you get," try Dún Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire (pronounced "Dunleary") is a port and commuter town south of Dublin. Who would, looking at a map and seeing, Dún Laoghaire think, "ah, Dunleary, just south of Dublin?"
 
On my early walk this morning at 6:10 temp was already 73 ,I was wearing my yellow reflector since it was still a bit dark outside as I walked to buy today's NYT,came back to water flowers/ plants in our community garden
This morning, around 8:45, will stroll over to my close friends. Marcia&Dave's house to dog sit my 'buddy boy' Tage{pharoh hound},Marcia is at a meeting, Dave&son Alexei 1st day back at their schools,both are teachers
I haven't dog sat Tage since mid July this will be the highlight of my day
 
Morning folks////;late checking in I guess...ah wel....lots of
aches and pains again today durn it....also got the shakes really
bad, new meds i suppose....just got done my first on=line business with the "new" bank that took over my 'old"
bank....it went okay I think...just got to get used to diff formats
and such....gonna be a scorcher again today, near 100 I guess....

Have a wool blanket in the washer. Enough of this paying for dry cleaning business. Will report on success later.

Too many household chores to do today. The day is better if I go for a walk in the morning so should start with that.
 
Had plans but as we didn't fall asleep until 5am, it was too late for them.

Jumped on bus, went to our favourite eatery and had lunch around teatime 🤣🤣🤣.

Made two stops, BHF first and got a bargain find. A Sona tea/coffee set from Stratford-upon-Avon in Stainless Steel. Tea pot, Coffee pot, Milk jug for hot creamy milk plus sugar and regular milk bowl for a £10.

Using my "Astonishing Cup Cleaner" from Amazon. Superb results, clean as a whistle, 1960s set looks brand new. Woohoo!

Second stop was CEX, got two Xbox One games and DVD of "Yours, Mine and Ours" comedy with Dennis Quaid.

Now, just chilling in front of Tele, completing the laundry, catching up on recommended YouTube videos. Later on planning to watch more "James Bond Films Collection".

Planning egg salad sandwiches for dinner.

Several people today with good intentions, pointed out how brown (sun tanned) I was. Wondering where we'd holidayed lol! Some wanted to know which products I'd applied...funny as it's none...

Just going out in sunny days doing regular shopping. Being racially mixed as always been a blessing.

Remembering the days on the beach down south for a year and I look coffee dipped. Daughter inherited her Papa's Scottish blue hue. Although, she does suntan as well more latte like ehehe.

Overall a good fun day. Got fun games, good films, a Vintage Tea/Coffee set from Stratford-upon-Avon. Wow!
 
Today, yesterday, and the day before that…….still trying to figure out where the days are going. 🤔.
I start each day with our usual walks and Mickis’ jobs, usual cleaning, talking to other residents.
Still doing some reorganizations with my reorganization, with my original organization……this may stop soon. 🥴.
My medications are all set up with Shoppers Drug Mart……just have to order fills, either by phone or online, they text when they’re ready to pick up…..they have long open hours too…..I can even collect rewards on my Optimum card with medications……they even have delivery service for seniors, free.

Getting back to where the days are racing off too…..is this a senior moment thing. 😉🤔🥴🙃😉 .

I’m getting pretty serious in the hunt for warm coats. 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶.

Something else I’ve started doing, is collecting coupons for meals at restaurants, and using them……since I don’t have to drive for an hour to make use of them now.

Going to go attack Mickis’ toy bin…..and size it down…..making room for new toys.
Do you want to hear something funny……have to this high enough, so she doesn’t see one’s that are getting chucked out, when I’ve done this on the floor…..she makes a million trips taking ones she hasn’t played with since like forever…..kids, can never figure them out.
 
Today I went to look at a furniture warehouse... it was 90 degrees today... very hot in the car NO AC..( ac needs re-gassed).. so I had to have the fan on full blast..

Traffic everywhere I went was horrendous, Major roads were closed.. had to take long detours through the countryside roads to reach a destination which would have taken 20 minutes normally, took 45 instead, in the baking heat..

I'd never been to this warehouse before , but I'd been promising to go for months, and I was fairly disappointed tbh.. It was Huge, but nothing really looked worth the prices they were charging ... and a lot of the stuff was 'distressed''.. I hate that look, especially on garden funriture and ornaments, where it looks like you've left it outside unprotected in the rin and snow..
