@OneEyedDiva if you don't mind that it's on Amazon, you should check out these solid, easy-to-build light solutions for your closets

SONGMICS

We've done double purchases back in late 2019 for our daughter's room. We've got a set of just shelving for our own room at the time.

They're inexpensive, solid both metal and fibrous sheets. I recommend them with confidence 👍

We're into our fifth year now and still no problems to report.
Thank you for the recommendation, but I've been using the system mentioned below after the suggestion from our supervisor who used the system in our new office (until regular office furniture came in). I erected shelving using cinder blocks, particle board and crates, that extend the length of the wall. There are special memories and a sense of accomplishment attached to those shelves because my supervisor took me out looking for the cinder blocks and helped with the plywood, the kind of help we gave each other in that office where our co-workers were more like family.

They say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". The system allows me to stack so the items reach higher than my height, almost reaching the ceiling. The system has held up for nearly 5 decades!

This apartment is considered a small space but has great built in closets. We have a linen closet, an 8 ft. walk in closet, a coat closet and a 6 foot closet in the studio room. I couldn't use the system you showed for clothes because the walk in closet has water pipes in it. Not long after we moved in, those pipes ruptured and caused a big flood on entire first floor. Since then, out of caution, I've kept most of my clothes in sturdy, large dress and suit bags. There is also an almost 8 ft. long shelf above the clothing which is great for extra storage ( encased in plastic and Rubbermaid totes of course). The coat and studio closets also have shelving above the clothing racks.

I'm glad you are enjoying and making good use of the shelving you bought. :D

Ah it's fine, I didn't know your situation. I just like helping out!

Sorry to hear about the pipes causing such flooding 😐

Since I knew today would be much hotter (100°), grocery shopping was yesterday.

My back/right leg pain has settled to a persistent but mostly tolerable level. When my calendar's stars align (not this coming week), I'll return to my medical group's spine center for reevaluation. They were pretty helpful last year and I don't need a referral to make an appointment.

Truly sorry to hear about your son, @Pepper. Been hearing about so many cases among relatives, friends and acquaintances, locally and across the country.

Beginning last Monday I went back to wearing KN95 masks in indoor public spaces. In the (packed) grocery store yesterday, DH & I were among a surprisingly small handful wearing masks. Why surprising? Because there's been a lot of coverage about increased cases and hospitalizations.

I completely understand why people want to be done with Covid. I'm right there with them. The bummer is, Covid still isn't done with us.

Today will be a chillaxing inside day for me. A little laundry, some food assembly (prepping salads), maybe a smidge of dusting, and plenty of reading time!

I'm so excited I'm kvelling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You might have to look that up! Just came back from my local library and they are re-starting Book Club after 3.5 year hiatus due to Covid!!!!! Covid better not start up again!

I'm happy. Also happy it's on a Monday, not a Wednesday my grandson day.

That's precisely what I would do in the same situation... just remember the problem it would be if we were now a cashless society.

This is why it's important that we use cash for some purchases regularly, because once you cant. you and your money are totally at the mercy of the banks
Well said. Thanks for sharing that perspective. I think it's a good idea. We can decide which purchases, obviously.

Hot ! Hot ! Hot !... 94 deg... all day now 84 at 20 to 8... but it's sooo hunid as well now.. I think I've drunk gallons of iced drinks today...

I've got loads I'll get the rest onto the photo forum later ....

Sooo hot, ..there was barely anyone at the museum, the cafe was almost empty, the gardens empty... because obviously people had made for the beach today. The traffic reports on the radio said the main motorways leading to the beaches were at a standstill. Thank goodness I stayed inland...

After I left the museum I drove to the pub and had dinner.. to save me cooking when I got home...Carvery... I had Roast ham, roast beef, roast potatoes, apple sauce, Yorkshire pudding and cabbage... and Iced coke..

Needed the loo in the early hours, picked my way around three flaked out cats, it is seriously hot, especially when you have a permanent fur coat.
Whisper it, they are back to the cat hotel this evening, but only for one night. We are off to The Goodwood Revival later on this afternoon. We will be returning late Saturday, after the evening's festivities.

This year's revival is a sell out again, some dear friends missed out, so, they bought weekend tickets for the "Back to the 40's," jolly on The West Somerset Heritage Railway, also this weekend. We are swapping Sundays and, surprisingly, Goodwood gave permission without admin charges. I was impressed. Do you like the lady's hats Holly? I love the factory worker with the visor.

Goodwood on TV now, taping it. I might see your happy smiling face.

Quite unusual temperature for the month of September!
Lovely place and the dinner looks delicious!
No not really we often get Indian Summers in September here in the South.... 🌞

yes dinner was delicious as always. It's a carvery so you serve yourself except for the meat... you can have as many meats as you want.. the veggies are comprehensive, but I was too hot to have much today...

Well I'll be going back to paper checks in the mail for awhile at
least...cannot get on 'net bank for anything...luckily have plenty
of checks and just ordered some stamps to be delivered...on the
other hand I see where Sept is "Falls" month, I guess i've got
that covered already!!!!!!
