AZ Lawmaker wants madatory church attendance

A republican, hmmm...imagine that.

This is really scary. Even scarier is the fact that fanatics like her can actually get elected.

Looks like she never took a civics class in school...

This is outrageous! Did you catch the part where she says everyone should be forced to go to the church "of their choice on Sunday"? So you're a criminal if you choose not to follow organized religion. You're also a criminal if you choose Jewish or any other religion that doesn't have church on Sunday. How embarrassing for Arizona to have elected this ignorant woman.

Can you imagine the "Church Police" showing up at your door on Sunday and dragging you in your pajamas to the nearest church? So much for small government.

This is Arizona. In Arizona all one needs to get elected is a (R) by their name. If Barry Goldwater were alive (the father of conservatism) he would be raising hell with today's republicans.

Gabrielle Giffords was elected as a Democrat. Wasn't she from Tucson? Is Tucson considered more progressive? Perhaps due to the university?

No. It's scary that any of these people would have any power at all, or public recognition. They need to stop shoving their religion down everyone's throat, and take a good look in the mirror when they start preaching morals.

It has nothing to do with why the Pilgrim Fathers went to America .
Just that all villagers were encouraged ( ahem!) to get themselves to church here, a long time ago. Then it became the social thing to do, now only people who want to go because they want to attend services, much the better way.
