For most of my exsistance [74 yrs] it seems the Jews are/have been hated by most of the Arab world around them. ...
It goes back a little further, lol. Try early 7th century Yathrib (now called Medina).

Yes, Koran designates Ishmael as the father of all Arabs.Go back much further than 2,000 years, a millennium further back, to the story of Ishmael (Islam) and Isaac, sons of Abraham from two different women to find where the hate began.
News sources are saying that Hamas has released 2 American hostages, a mother and daughter, who are now in the custody of the Red Cross.
Apparently they are now in Egypt and will eventually be passed into Israel. The word is that there are still 201 hostages in Hamas hands. No names so far.
No. I don’t want the Palestinian Islamic Jihad here in the United States. They are a designated terrorist organization that is supported by the majority of Palestinians in Gaza. The Palestinians in Gaza aren’t some poor hapless people unfairly put upon by Hamas. They elected Hamas to be their government. American Muslims living in the United States certainly aren’t poor hapless people unfairly put upon by Hamas. They sent $12 million to Hamas before the FBI shut down their foundation called the Holy Land Foundation in Richardson, Texas.Setting aside the politics of the situation, I will ask again, would you be happy to have Palestinian refugees settled in America?
I have no control over that as an issue. I don't spend any time being concerned over something that I have no control over.Any of you worried at the possibility of WW3, with all these miniwars popping up, here and there?
Genuinely, I'm concerned. Aren't you?
If you're concerned, why not take steps to protect yourself, provide food, shelter, etc. instead of worrying?Any of you worried at the possibility of WW3, with all these miniwars popping up, here and there?

Both Harvard and U Penn have been told by major funding benefactors/ individuals, who are Jewish, that the money will stop immediately . The funding that is being cut off is in the millions of dollars, and the reaction is spreading across the USA. For too long some US University administrators have "looked the other way " and allowed groups of their students to support and fund raise for terrorist groups. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. To use the street jargon, "Screw around and find out what the blowback will be ". JimB.Not off topic just an addition that I think is relevant.
Oct 17 (Reuters) - U.S. law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell on Tuesday rescinded job offers to law students who signed on to public statements supporting Palestine in the wake of Hamas’ deadly attacks in Israel, following a similar move by fellow law firm Winston & Strawn last week.
Davis Polk's managing partner, Neil Barr, told members of the New York-based firm on Tuesday that it had revoked job offers to three law students in leadership positions at Harvard and Columbia university groups that issued statements regarding to the latest wave of violence in the Middle East, according to an internal email obtained by Reuters.
“These statements are simply contrary to our firm’s values and we thus concluded that rescinding these offers was appropriate in upholding our responsibility to provide a safe and inclusive work environment for all Davis Polk employees,” Barr wrote.

Free speech wasn't the issue. Free speech does come with consequences. Other similar action taken can be found by Googling

The chickens are coming home to roost?! Jim, I swear sometimes you sound so American! That's something I've heard in PA Dutch country my whole life. @jimintorontoNow the chickens are coming home to roost. To use the street jargon, "Screw around and find out what the blowback will be ". JimB.
I've seen videos of recent young recruits using their cell phones to order pizza delivery while taking a break during field training....in the field. The chickens are coming home to roost?! But anyhow, to stay on topic... re: WWIII. I think it will happen, but like @Knight said, I won't be able to change it, so I'll not let myself fill with anxiety over it. I *will* come clean and say that I'd have a much different answer if my loved ones were of an age to be drafted, I'd fear that they'd start the draft again. My nephew was Special Ops in Afghanistan... 6 or 7 tours... but I don't think he can be called into service again. (Not 100% sure.)
yesmen love war
That's because men love war. It's one bunch of bearded barbarians screaming and yelling at the other bunch of bearded barbarians. It's been like this for thousands of years and it will never end.

No. I don't think men love war. Some men love a challenge; maybe most men do.
How do fighters in Yemen get cruise missles?Probably, but they might be different questions for different people. I'm curious about yours if you care to share.
My guess is Iran. They've been backing the Houthis for awhile now.How do fighters in Yemen get cruise missles?
It is also in the Koran that people of other religions are respected as being "people of the book".@rgp — it's in their Koran to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth.
People of the Book or Ahl al-kitāb (Arabic: أهل الكتاب) is an Islamic term referring to followers of those religions which Muslims regard as having been guided by previous revelations, generally in the form of a scripture.[1] In the Quran they are identified as the Jews, the Christians, the Sabians, and—according to some interpretations—the Zoroastrians.[2] Starting from the 8th century, some Muslims also recognized other religious groups such as the Samaritans,[3] and even Buddhists, Hindus, and Jains,[4] as People of the Book.
I just remembered a quote from the novel Those Who Remain by G Michael Hopf:I've seen videos of recent young recruits using their cell phones to order pizza delivery while taking a break during field training....in the field.
Yes, I'm feeling a little anxious.
never a more true statementI just remembered a quote from the novel Those Who Remain by G Michael Hopf:
"Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times."
This is only a guess but it could be the result of the diaspora of Jews across the Middle East and Europe during and after the Roman occupation. In Europe they tended to live in exclusive communities and were always seen as intruders. Eventually they were expelled from western countries (England, Spain, France etc) but remained in the east (Germany, Poland, Russia etc) until the 20th century.Yes I knew ... but again what in the world started the hate that long ago ?
