Morning all..!!!! Up way too early again...got tired and went to bed about 930 last nite, then up twice in the nite and now i'm
setting here wondering why....course this happens every time change,.....only thing on tap is laundry...Caregiver clean things
up good yesterday, so don't have that at least...still need to get
on the insurance project....lordy I hate doing that every year....
ah well...enuff from me, make it a great day all !!!! :giggle:😘

Sending all the good wishes I can muster this morning for @hollydolly . Please remember that while the word "lump" strikes terror, what you described could be any number of things. Every one of them would need to be evaluated/treated, but it doesn't necessarily mean "the worst." Maybe this will help... it's from a well-known medical center. Of course "the bad stuff" is also there, but so are other things that would be vastly less severe.

On my early walk at 6:20 ,temp was unseasonably warm 58 as I walked to buy today's NYT

This will be the highlight of my day,my other plans read my book, after dinner do today's NYT daily crossword puzzle

Dr. Appt. this morning. Don't know whether I want gel shot for knee. Nothing seems to help the pain. Afterwards, I must make reservation for AccessARideFromHell. Last week's 2.5 hour trip to get to grandson was too much for me. Too much. I love my grandson so much but I can't take it. With holiday season here, traffic will be worse than ever. It's the ride share part that is breaking me. Takes me over an hour or more out of my way. I can't take it, it is making me sick to my stomach, my heart.

Since they don't use yellow cabs, the drivers are all new immigrants and totally incompetant when it comes to driving in Manhattan.

Had milk that was not going to be good in another day, so I bought two boxes chocolate pudding mix. Got it home and realized it was the kind you have to cook 🙄. Proceeded to follow directions, making sure to sprinkle the powder in gradually and whisk so i didn’t get lumps

I god chocolad powdah up by doze…. Ah-Choo! 🤧

Now to find individual serving containers… we will have chocolate pudding for quite a while 🍫

Been busy running about, local elections, took jackets to get zippers put in.
Dropped hubby off at home, so I could go to Walmart.
Got everything I needed,,but no Linseed Oil.

Had hoped that Walmart "might' have smaller containers of it.
Nope, nothing like that on their shelves.

Once home,, noticed a white truck pulling in the drive way.
Gabbed a leash to handle Mac better.

Was my friend dropping off some novels for me.
I didn't have any new ones for her.
We did look in my bookcase .
She took a few of them to read.

Before I left this morning, hubby was telling me where he would be. ?
I missed the word Why I should go where he's working. ??

Will see if he comes home for lunch.

It's already 79. A high temp record might be broken today. In a little while I'm gonna go out and do a little more clean up in the garden. There's still a lot to do.

I got the Best. News. Ever. at work first crack outta the box this morning. The!!!!! Best!!!!!

The sweet, smart, lovely, friendly, hard-working, pleasant, agreeable, helpful, knowledgeable, (and talented cake decorator) lady who helps us sometimes and was there on Sunday is coming to work in our bakery in two weeks. I can't stop smiling:):):):):):)

TL doesn't know it yet and won't until the end of next week. If her transfer comes through, she'll be gone altogether. If not, she'll be working in the deli until transferred somewhere (anywhere!) else. The deli manager is somewhat distressed, and who can blame her? However, she's a tell-it-like-it-is kind of person who insists on everything in its place, neat and clean...the customers can see everything in the deli and deli kitchen. She won't put up with any nonsense and no smart remarks from TL.

Yesterday TL was busily doing her version of decorating cookies and cakes. Our sales consultant was there and suggested that it's a bit early to be decorating them for Christmas but that Thanksgiving is barely two weeks away so to concentrate on Thanksgiving and autumn themes and in any case the colors were not colors that complement each other.

TL kept on doing it her way. Consultant got a good look at what had been done and told her that it was all "ugly" (yes, she used the word ugly!) and to throw all of it out because it wasn't any good and not at all what was wanted on the sales floor. TL took umbrage. How dare anybody criticize her decorating "skill"? TL doesn't take criticism well in any form. A helpful suggestion? Nope. An instruction? Nope. Constructive? Nope.

Sir was there at 5am yesterday. At 5pm he announced he was dead tired and was leaving. TL demanded that he empty the trash and take the cardboard to the compactor before leaving. What? She told him? He reminded her that it's the responsibility of the employee who closes to get that done.

Needless to say, Sir and I are both over the moon at this morning's news🌛 Yeeeeehawwww!

Did some yard work. I vowed last summer that as soon as it was cool enough, I would get rid of those thorny creeping runners that are taking over the south side of the house. Took about a half an hour and I probably didn't get them all. There's a stump they seem to be growing out from and where they touch the ground, start a new plant. Had to wear very thick gloves. Probably an old rose bush that's gone wild.
I got out my old rock pick and went to work on that stump trying to dig it up. I got down about 8 inches and it still won't budge.

I'm back from town. I did a very mild workout at the gym, but stopped early....I'm the first one to "over do it".

Then we went to The Health Department and got our flu shots. Those are the nicest people who work there! And the nurse was actually someone who I used to know when I was still working at at the hospital....good to see her again!

Dio cut my hair yesterday!!!

It was my last crew cut of the year, it will get to grow out over the winter.

This morning I did some accounting, including balancing two of my checkbooks while listening to the original, then new version of the song we're working on. Did a lot of listening today and although some tweaks need to be made, I'm pleased. I went to the supermarket, a little later than I'd planned (around 11:15) and seeing that more people were there than I'm used to, I did some quick shopping.

I ate lunch, watched part of The Irrational, which I'll finish later and wound up taking an impromptu, long nap. Today was election day. I forgot to go after I got home from the supermarket and it was too late when I woke up. First election I missed in decades. Really wasn't sure who to vote for anyway. Oh well.

Thanks Ladies.. I just can't cope with the idea of sitting for 12 hours in A&E... .. plus I'm just not feeling well enough to go at the moment anyway... I have to have the pneumonia Vax on Wednesday so I'll mention it at the Doctors surgery then..
I didn't see the original post about the lump, HD, just the replies. I understand not feeling well enough to go to the doctor or hospital, even though it sounds counter intuitive. By the time you see this, either you will have seen your doctor already or will be preparing to go. I hope that issue is addressed immediately HD! And I"m sure we all hope for the best outcome for you. 🤗

Looks like that's a stump from a shrub or a cedar bush? I've removed several from around my house.

Here's how you remove it:

Tools you need:
1. Round point shovel.
2. An axe.
3 Gloves
4. Eye protection.

If the ground is dry around the stump, water it well before starting then ... soak it again. The softer the dirt is the easier it will be to dig out the dirt around the stump. Start digging around the base of the stump, feeling for where the roots are. Use the axe to chop the roots until they are no longer attached to the stump. Dig some more, exposing more roots that may be deeper or underneath the stump.
Every once in awhile, dig the tip of the shovel under the stump as far as you can and try to pry the stump upward. When the stump gets loosened & wiggly then you're making good progress. Keep digging with the shovel and cutting roots with the axe until you break the stump free from the ground.

This job takes strength & energy. Possibly more than you have depending on your physical condition.
You may need to hire a younger person to do it or a neighbor or whatever. The other option is to work at it a little at a time. Half hour here and another tomorrow and so on. You'll eventually get there and when you do, you'll feel very accomplished. You've beaten the stump 💪

Good morning, Invisipeeps. I dunno why, but it feels like Sunday. It's not Sunday. It's Wednesday. All day.

It's gonna be another sunny and warm day. Yippee.

The gardening that I said I'd do yesterday didn't happen. I have to do it today. Have to. My next day off is Friday when we're expecting rain. Or not. Depends on whether or not the weathernerds are lying again.

Time to get my Self in gear so that I can make 🥐🥐 by the hundreds again.

@hollydolly Is this the day you have a doctor's appointment?

Well morning gang....not happy one with me, in mucho pain

Aw, I'm sorry to hear you're having pain this morning, Hawk. :(
Hoping the heating pad will lessen it for you quickly! 🤗🌻
I expect to see you dancing a jig for us the minute it's better! 🕺 @hawkdon

On my phone this morning, when I took it off the charger, was a text message inviting me and her ladyship, to make our menu selection at the new year's eve event that we are going to. Wowee! Oh to be able to cook so well that I could present such a choice. Do you want to see? Take a peek here.

There's quite a crowd of us going, a few amusing texts have been flying around, such as: "What are you wearing?" For most party goers it will be a ballgown for the ladies and dinner suit with bow tie for the gents. The amusing texts refer to: "depends on how much I have eaten over Christmas. Tell me about it!
The band though The Boogie Bumpers, they are a professional swingtime, jump, jive and wail band, straight out of the interwar years. If our friends are going in period dress I shall dust the Zoot suit down.

Hey, I forgot to mention that the store was positively crawling with suits yesterday. We're expecting more today and tomorrow. 🕴️🕴️🕴️🕴️ We don't know why they're there or what they're looking for/at. Guess we'll hear soon enough when we get notified of yet more changes.

One of them asked me yesterday what we need. I told them space. Build us some space!

No not my appendix Rose.. had them out when I was a child.. and anyway it's much higher than the appendix site...
The advice I was once given by someone who knew from experience was, don't be fobbed off. My only suggestion is that, if your GP doesn't volunteer it, then ask for him/her to print you off an x-ray form so you can go straight to a local hospital and have an x-ray done. I did this and was able to go directly to my local hospital and, they did the x-ray within half an hour of me arriving at the department.

Hope all goes well tomorrow and it proves to be something minor which, these things often are x
