Sigh. A few days ago I mentioned Portmeirion and waited for the ads to start popping up. They did. And they won't quit!
The lamp I bought from Wayfair? Yeah. Well Wayfair won't leave me alone, either.
The Wayfair credit card? Bought the lamp online and paid for it as soon as the invoice was online.
After the first two times I used it not on their site, there won't be a third. Not kidding. Both times I was treated like a criminal. The first use, to buy my new laptop, I understood because it was the first time I'd used it, but it was frustrating and irritating so I just freaking paid for it. Then the phone calls started. Oy!
I told them I got so disgusted with the non-English-speaking customer "service" people that I just paid cash. What were they going to do? Go ahead and charge it. Wut? I'd already paid.
Then I informed them that I'd be going back to the same store again and intended to use the card. Told them when, what it was for, how much it would cost. What happened? Another "declined" and another non-English-speaking customer "service" person. I demanded to speak to a supervisor whose mother tongue was English to get it sorted out. The whole mess took an hour to sort out.
Will I use that card again? Only for small amounts purchased directly from Wayfair and pay the invoice as soon as it appears online. Why? Merely to keep the line of credit open.
Credit cards are a PITA! It's much simpler to just pay with real money or a debit card.
Rant over.
