What are you doing today 2023

they do that at my surgery too... At first I thought they were being rude not looking at me while I was talking, and instead typing on their computers.. and then I realised they were looking up Patient Info.. for the causes.. I can look up Patient info my darn self... .. it drives me nuts...and that's after usually waiting weeks to even see someone and then we're back out the door again in 8 minutes..

However , I'm fortunate that this GP I'm seeing on Tuesday knows her stuff.. she's about the only one who does.. trouble is her hands are tied.. she can only refer me on.. and then I'm stuck in the NHS wait queue.. for everything..
Hopefully, things will move quicker because it's a lump. See what happens when you speak to the GP. I would ask for an x-ray form to be completed and see what that shows. My doctor has done that twice in recent years so, I can't see any reason why your GP should not do it. (y)

Sigh. A few days ago I mentioned Portmeirion and waited for the ads to start popping up. They did. And they won't quit!

The lamp I bought from Wayfair? Yeah. Well Wayfair won't leave me alone, either.

The Wayfair credit card? Bought the lamp online and paid for it as soon as the invoice was online.

After the first two times I used it not on their site, there won't be a third. Not kidding. Both times I was treated like a criminal. The first use, to buy my new laptop, I understood because it was the first time I'd used it, but it was frustrating and irritating so I just freaking paid for it. Then the phone calls started. Oy!

I told them I got so disgusted with the non-English-speaking customer "service" people that I just paid cash. What were they going to do? Go ahead and charge it. Wut? I'd already paid.

Then I informed them that I'd be going back to the same store again and intended to use the card. Told them when, what it was for, how much it would cost. What happened? Another "declined" and another non-English-speaking customer "service" person. I demanded to speak to a supervisor whose mother tongue was English to get it sorted out. The whole mess took an hour to sort out.

Will I use that card again? Only for small amounts purchased directly from Wayfair and pay the invoice as soon as it appears online. Why? Merely to keep the line of credit open.

Credit cards are a PITA! It's much simpler to just pay with real money or a debit card.

Rant over.

Vacuumed, now making 2 soups:
Chicken soup, now need to refrigerate the stock to remove the fat tomorrow, refrigerate the meat. Then make a broth with onions, carrots and celery, etc.

Lentil and rinsed quinoa soup; usual soup veg.

Washed dishes, took out trash and walked doggie.

Watching on and off History Channel's"Revolution". It's almost 4 hours long, but what I do look at is very good, well made I think.

I bought one thing from Wayfair and they treated me like I was their new best friend. Several emails a day that I'd unsubscribe to, but they persisted. It took nearly a year to get off their list. If I ever buy from them again, I'll create a one time junk email address.

The way I've gotten my browser to stop suggesting things I'm no longer interested: Do several searches for high end chocolates. Pretty soon the ads are all for luscious chocolates. I smile when I see them instead of gritting my teeth.

Once you know their game, you can play their algorithms to your advantage.

Lentil and quinoa soup sounds interesting. Is it posted in the recipe section?

Mornin' all..5am and I've been up for 3 hours...couldn't sleep because of the arthritic pain in my knees... very sore..:(I' d forgotten that after being out and about yesterday and driving all over the place ( manual transmission)..that my knees would cause me agonies.. and didn't take painkillers before bed... and paid the price...

I've only had 2 hours sleep.. and I have to be out again later this morning to the hospital to see the Physiotherapist for the knees.....

I've taken Painkillers now .. so I hope I don't fall asleep and miss my appointment..

It’s the monthLy trek to the surgery to hand over my prescription.Don’t trust doing it online!
Then probably eat breakfast out before contacting BT to get a new broadband deal.
Don’t like what they offered me online.I won’t being accepting that.

why don't you trust doing it online ?..I always do mine online and it gets delivered to the nearest pharmacy..

I'm sitting here drumming my fingers, very impatient waiting for the garage to open at 8.30 am..it;s 7.45 am now.. but I want to get to the garage as soon as they open to try and get someone to fit new indicator bulbs...

I've just showered and got dressed in my outdoor clothes.. and I really want to get going.. but it's too early.. I'm afraid if I sit down and get comfortable I'll fall asleep ..

My appointment for physio is not until 11am.. so if the garage fit my bulbs.. then I'll still have 2 hour to kill before I go to the hospital.. lol... I'm so impatient.. ..

I've got a big bag of Donations which I want to drop off at the Charity shop while I'm out, and if I'm awake enough I need to go to Costco, which is in a Town North of here 30 mile round trip... ..needless to say it's very wet out there again today...

It's a clear, cold and frosty morning here - but no mulberry bush to go round. Off to the fishmongers this morning. The variety of fish has been a bit dismal recently because of the bad weather, but I want some haddock and megrim or witch if I can get it. Mrs. L also wants some dried fruit to start making the Christmas cake.

My campervan has a broken suspension spring so I'm taking it to the garage tomorrow. That will be more unwelcome expense - not for a spring, but the labour cost. Not a DIY job as it needs some special tools.

Good morning, boys and girls. Today is a day we're supposed to break another temp record. Tomorrow? Rain and in the 60s. It's "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute" season.

I spent yesterday afternoon in an attempt to change my attitude (it would have been easier if I'd paired it with the help of a bottle of brandy and a straw. LOL) Please...let's not have a herd of people "helping" this morning when the suits are supposed to be in the store.

Unfortunately for me, TL's shift starts at 5. I don't get there until 6. By the time I'm there, she usually has effed up a whole buncha stuff, and that sets me back at least an hour or more.

Oops. My attitude is slipping again.

Fall is here...

They stopped us ordering by e-mail and whenever I have used MyHealthOnline the prescription has not been processed.
The Pharmacy used to automatically order our prescriptions for us but the practice stopped that.
At least they still let them pick the prescriptions up.
I get the impression they want to make the process as difficult as possible in the hope we’ll go away!

Today my water delivery is coming so need to stay home. He has no special time that he gets to me. I don't want to miss it. As soon as my neighbors are up and about I will be vacuum packing the ground beef and chicken I bought yesterday. Then I will be cleaning, organizing and getting rid of more stuff. More coffee right now....

🥱😴
Exhausted. Wish I could go back to bed but there is too much to do.

AccessARide is killing me. I already discuss it, over and over and over, in therapy. Perhaps I'd be well off seeking help from you wise guys in the Mental Health section. It's either them or me.......

If you have popsicle molds, chocolate pudding makes excellent popsicles. 😋
Thank you for that very cool idea Star (pardon the pun)! :p I have sugar free chocolate pudding here that I was thinking of mixing with whipped cream in my magic bullet. I buy Health Choice fudge pops in the 18 count box from Costco but making my own when I run out seems like a great idea. The fudge pops help me control my ice cream addiction. In fact, I don't feel the need to even buy ice cream when they are in the house.
