Curb feelers? Holy cow! I was about 60 or so years younger, the last time I saw them!
Instead wasting time watching all of those mediochre and bad versions of A Christmas Carol, just simply watch the best version of A Christmas Carol (released in the U.K. as Scrooge). The 1951 British version still reigns supreme. Always will in my opinion.I never liked those movies. Never watched them in their entirety.
Is it because they always end the same way???I never liked those movies. Never watched them in their entirety.
No they don't. If you watch all of those stupid versions which some are animated, they change the story, add characters that were never in the Dickens' tale, and totally change some scenes. Scrooge (1951), has always been referred to as the version that is most loyal and like the way Dickens wrote it. Then you have Alaistair Sim. His performance is incredible. The meanest Scrooge of all, and the one who changes the most at the end.Is it because they always end the same way???![]()
No, they just seemed creepy, ugly, musty and hard to understand. Yes, I guess creepy says it best.Is it because they always end the same way???![]()
It's a guy's story. Men often lose their souls trying to make a living. This a story that says, you've simply lost touch with your true self. No, they just seemed creepy, ugly, musty and hard to understand. Yes, I guess creepy says it best.
I guess I live a sheltered life. All the versions I'm familiar with are pretty much the same story. I once had a man look at me like that. He was explaining how to operate an instrument. He said turn the knob to the right. I said do you mean turn the top of the knob to the right because the bottom of the knob will be turning to the left. I'm not sure I was kidding.View attachment 316412 The look on his face!
sounds like a valid question to me!I once had a man look at me like that. He was explaining how to operate an instrument. He said turn the knob to the right.
