Pot is Legal on Dec.7 in Ohio,Now Lawmakers Trying to Change What Was Specified By Voters!

A crock pot? Really. I always thought a rice cooker was necessary but I have such a tiny kitchen that I have no more room for additional appliances of any sort. But I do have a crock pot so I'll have to give this a try. Thanks for the info.

As for the pain, I've found that when I have the flu, it really helps with the aches and pains and my one uncle was using a cream with 'something' in it (not sure if CBD or THC) but it really helped for some skin issues he was having as well as rubbing into his bad knees.
The last time I made canna butter I only had about a 1/4 cup of bud, so I just used a 2 cup Pyrex cup, in a small pan with water. The candy thermometer is to make sure it doesn't get over 200 deg. F., which will destroy the potency.

With the crock pot you just add your dry bud and sticky shake and leave it for 6 hours on ‘keep warm.’ Cheesecloth, or a fine sieve works good to strain it. This is probably the safest way to do this. You don’t need a thermometer, you don’t need to even watch over this. Thats what’s great about crockpots, you add the ingredients and walk away for the recommended time.

Potency - 1 cup dried cannabis to two cups butter or coconut oil is a fairy potent ratio
For 6 to 8 full hours.

I have had a medical marijuana license for 3 years. I smoke small amounts when needed for neupathy pain, IBS, and insomnia. It is the best medicine I have used, and the Rx meds have way more side effects. They don't work as well either.

Keep kidding yourself about the Joe Sixpack and driving. I was once a cop and you'd lose your license in a heartbeat. Not one beer. Nada!
I meant I buy a sixpack for the weekend...maybe drive after having one or two light beers after a couple of hours. I drank a river in my youth, but I've toned it down at middle age.

And I call your average Canadian guy and gal Joe Sixpack and Sally Housecoat.

I thought Joe 6 pack, used in this circumstance means he can handle 6 beers and still drive but if he smokes weed he can’t.
No. I meant I can pace myself with light beer and not get drunk. Pot is out of the question for me...wouldn't even try to drive after smoking it.

Does the [pot] really work for the neuropathy ? How long does it keep the pain away ? Maybe I'll try it .... if i can get it ?

Yes. I have pain in my neck, shoulders, sinuses, and ear canals. When I get up from lying down sleeping the pain level is 7/8. I take a small hit of flower and the pain drops to 2/3. That lasts approximately 5 hours.

I had to try a few different strains before I settled with the one I use. They just made it legal for recreational use Dec. 7th. So you must have a dispenserary near you.? Speak to someone who works there who knows what strains are best for what you are needing it for.

Good luck..and any moe questions...ask
away. :)

Where there's a will there's a way! Good idea for such a small amount of pot. So did you use it to bake something with? What can you do with such a small amount? And glad you mentioned the 200 degrees. Next time I'm at the dollar store, I'm going to see if they have candy thermometers.

Thanks PeppermintPatty, I'm going to cut and paste this into Notes so I don't lose track of it. I love that it's so simple. So have you ever baked with this concoction? I know someone who used to make cookies with hers but I don't know what her ratios were. I'd eat a quarter of a cookie and have a real nice afternoon enjoying the sun as I puttered in the garden after a quarter. Funny story, she was cooling a batch on the counter once and her husband got home from the store, didn't know that she'd baked 'special' cookies and he snagged three cookies as he passed by. He had a VERY peaceful afternoon that day.

I only had 3 grams of Cannabis left, so I made a small batch of Canna-Keto fat bombs to share with a gym friend.

That’s a funny story. My husband’s not a user and one Christmas decided he wanted to try one and he did. After an hour and not feeling anything he decided to grab another even after my warning. Well an hour later he was so high, all he could do was lay there and wait until it wore off which was hours later.
Did I poke fun of him?
Hell yeahhhh! lol
It was the last time I ever made canna cookies though. I didn’t want him ever to be tempted again. Of course he wasn’t but just in case….
I’m no longer into cannabis like I was before.
A vape before bedtime is about all I do and not every night. I get higher off my meds these days. They are strong.

Well we've had legal pot in Canada for 8 years now and it seems to have worked out okay. We even grew a couple of plants the first year we were in a house again (previous to that, 5 years in an apartment and no garden) and they did pretty good. After years of skulking around and trying not to get in trouble, I found it really hard to openly have a puff. My girlfriend always razzed me about that. But I've given it up now because it seems that I've developed a sensitivity to it and even a single puff to help me sleep, has me wheezing like an asthmatic. But some folks are okay with it and more power to them on that score (as long as they aren't driving of course!).
Has it been eight years already. I grew my own also. I had my licence and before that I grew for others with a licence before that. I loved growing.

I’m seriously considering giving oh up this New Year. Like yourself, I think I’ve become allergic to it. I sneeze, get irritated sinuses and sometimes get serious flashbacks. Over the years I’ve convinced myself that it’s ok for me but in reality my own body is telling me otherwise. Two more weeks and I’m done. I’m also going to stop doing clonazepam. It eases my anxiety but the side effects are causing their own mental health issues.

I think it will be easy for me to give up.

I just looked it up and it's actually only six years. I don't know about the clonazepam, but I think the pot will be easy to set aside. All I had to think of to remind myself was the heavy feeling in my lungs when I went to bed. But like everything else, we're left with the memories of our wild and wooly youth right and like a Mastercard commercial would say, 'those memories are priceless'.

The Cookie Monster struck (and paid for it 😉)....good thing some of our husbands have us to protect them.

I use a cream that’s half Thc for orthopedic pain. A friend that’s 88 tried it for pain and now uses it also. It’s been legal in Nevada for a long time.

I have no heavy feeling in my lungs. I’m not a smoker. I haven’t smoked it in a long time so quitting will be easy. I’m also a singer and saxophonist so lung capacity is a big deal for me. My lungs are too important to me to abuse them. Having said that, I’d never take away my party data. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts and celebrated more times than I can remember. Priceless memories for sure. 👍

Talk to your doctor before quitting this one. Maybe start with just taking a half pill.
I’m doing better than that. Now I only take 1/2 a one when needed which has only been about once a week. Yayyyy! This is affecting my memory big time and so is the cannabis.
It’s not ‘all’ good. There’s certainly down sides to it.
