I got my RVS shot yesterday and so far no side affects. I did some food shopping and other errands and was tired so I got in bed early to watch TV, but then I heard an ambulance call on my scanner for someone I know.

The man had been discharged from a hospital on Tuesday and his wife has been in a different hospital for over a week , as she fell and broke her shoulder. I called her last week and she was in good spirits and beginning rehab soon. They are both senior members of my church and I had no idea the husband had been hospitalized, too.

It was a very concerning ambulance call-and I am waiting to hear from our Pastor to see what his status is. He will email the membership for prayers and an update.

I just plan on doing a few things today , because after my Flu shots, I always feel tired and ache a little the next day.

I got 2 Mc D Cheeseburgers yesterday and saved one in case I dont feel like cooking today.

I made Macaroni salad with shrimp early yesterday AM and there is still plenty of that to eat.
I always add frozen peas to it and mix the mayo with a good fancy tomato and pepper relish and sometimes I put sliced hard boiled eggs on the top of it.

If we need a dish to pass at my church, that is what I always bring. They Like it!

Making meal replacement shakes to put in the freezer for ice cream. Just getting started on hard boiled eggs in the IP. Then out to the dumpster and finally, doing laundry (so far behind on it now). Later I am making a pork shoulder roast in the IP. Then just normal household chores. Sun is shining in my windows so it should be a good day. I don't really mind the cold on a sunny day.

I just got update on this couple I mentioned - the man, who seemed to be transported to a close hospital, last night, instead was transported to one further away and his wife, still in another hospital, has gotten Covid!

It is heartbreaking to see what people go through sometimes, when illnesses come.
Last week the wife asked for visits as she was in rehab, and now she is isolated at the Rehab place.

They do have family close by and that is a Blessing.

No info on why the husband was hospitalized.

Baked more a couple hundred more cookies yesterday. After breakfast the dough that's chilling in the fridge will go in the oven - should yield a similar amount.

We'll probably ship out 20-25 boxes of cookies today. 8 different cookies, total of 50 cookies per box. Then it will be time to assess and prep what needs to be baked for the next round of shipping.

Back from my errands.
Yes,,I forgot 2 items, olives & one person I forgot to send a greeting card to!

Next ,,make slice & dice some chicken breast.
Make them into chicken nuggets for lunch.

After lunch walk the dog.
Hope to dust the hutch in dinning area.
May decorate it.

Seems the hutch has become a place to put tablets while they charge.
And hubby has candy spread around on it!

After a dull, damp start the weather improved and it was a clear, sunny day - but cold. We spent another fortune on food including a whole large salmon and a boneless side of salmon (my filleting skills aren't up to it). At least we got 5p. off per litre of diesel.

I can't take Paxlovid because I am on blood thinners. He prescribed nothing. He said, "you've had Covid before, you have antibodies, you'll be fine, rest, drink water, blah blah" Hugs back.

One of my daughters has been living in Mainland China as a teacher for over ten years. Last night she came home for Christmas, and this morning she started unpacking her gifts. WOW, a German beer company flyer from China? And a German beer mug with the name of a Chinese City? OK, for the Oktoberfest in China, my daughter had dressed up as a Bavarian "Oktoberfest Maid," having a " saupreiß" (Pig-Prussian) as a dad (the Southern German fun-loving Bavarians despise the Northern German Prussian warriors.) And having a closer look, the German beer mug with a Chinese City name has the English "4th" written on it. LOL !!!

As a green tea addict, I just had bought in Orange County's "Saigon City" 1,000 bags of green tea for about 3 cents each. Yet, my daughter brought more green tea with her from China that looks like being of a much higher quality than what I had bought here.

She had the minted Lamb chops... and I had the Monkfish in Pancetta.. with Caviar and Prawn mousse

I couldn't take pictures because the places was full up with people, so it would have been an imposition...

Of course because we had high winds, black skies and biblical rain.. the outside was all closed off... and it didn't look pretty outside like the pictures... however the car park at the rear is massive.. and we got there for first service at noon... by the time we were leaving a couple of hours later the car park was absolutely packed with people waiting for a space. I was absolutely astounded, because this place isn't cheap..it's off th beaten path , so not somewhere people would just stumble upon by chance plus it's the middle of the week... doesn't anyone go out to work any more ..lol

Sir and I had a productive morning in the bakery but nearly froze to death. We found out what the problem is, besides that the nights have been so cold. When this happened last year and the year before after changing from a/c to heat, management was told the heating systems was on its last legs. Last year they were told it might make it another season but after that? Nope. Nevertheless, they opted for yet another repair. It didn't work. Therefore, we have no heat. No news about how soon we might have heat.

I was jolted awake again this morning by the alarm. Off tomorrow. I'll probably be wide awake at 4am.

there was a separate menu for adult desserts.. ( there was no kids there today anyway.. and tbh I can't really see it being a place where people would take children)...

However the dessert menu wasn't very good at all.. which was a shame because my Daughter particularly likes to have a dessert, and coffee at the end of the meal.. and none of them were very interesting.. Panna Cotta .. tiramisu , treacle sponge with butterscotch... etc.. all at around £10 each... not really worth having tbh..
