Betting that £795 doesn't include service and "convenience" fees. Ticket prices have become absolutely ridiculous.
Convenience fees - lol. Is that like the "Resort Fee" that hotels anywhere near water now charge?
What a joke! Absolutely nothing done to make the hotel different or better but suddenly it's a 'Resort' and you pay a nightly charge for the privilege of staying there

Another sunny day, and even a warm one at almost 60 F for a change!

Yeah, I let shaving go a couple days again. And I still have lots of baggy clothes to replace, but that's the price of dropping some weight. Don't ask about the knot on my forehead or the wrapped cudgel in the foreground. :ROFLMAO: At least it wasn't red yet when I snapped that picture.
I forgot there was a cartoon about this:

I heard something this morning that I haven't heard for many a year....the "double boom" of a returning spacecraft.

That used to be common in the shuttle days, but not recently.

"WHAT WAS THAT??? Did you drop something?" I wish I had known it was coming so I could have been out in the yard for the full effect.

Oh, and we actually had an earthquake a hundred miles or so off the coast from Daytona. I guess it was felt over there yesterday. Oh, well, no more congratulating ourselves that "at least we don't have earthquakes...."

The most I’ve paid for anything else this year is £29.50.
They were not charging £150+for a decent seat on their last tour eight years ago.
Even their Blenheim Palace gig, which I went to,was under £50.
yes I think the people willing to pay for Corrs tickets, might not necessarily be the same ones who'd pay close to £800 for a seat at an Adele concert.

I'm a huge folk fan. A few years ago I went to see the glorious Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham, and we got front row seats , literally feet away from the pair.. and it cost £25 a ticket.. that's because they've never had a chart hit... and they're not expecting their fans to make them billionaires......and they came and had a drink with us in the bar afterwards and posed for photos...

I helped DH to figure out what to do, how to do it, and where to find everything needed, in order to do it. What to do first, or second, or last, or not at all. My brain is very tired.

I made the coffee with my new percolator. I enjoyed watching the perc's perking. :)
As @Georgiagranny said above, it's the little things.

I spilled coffee on my p.j.'s/ oh well, some little things like that one, are not worth mentioning!:sneaky:

I came here, to say hello to all of you!

Hubby got the fuel tanks painted today,, they look so much better.
I wouldn't let the dog near them,, they don't need christened.

Somehow the electric got turned off where we have the motor home stored.
Hubby tried charging the batteries.

Will know more tomorrow when he checks it.
Gave me a large hint that the fridge in it needs cleaned.:(

I think the covering. for it's furnace is off.
Hopefully the screws & screw driver are where I left them.

I saw the Carravick Sisters last year. They cost me £12.
And Kitty MacFarlane was £10.
Front row for both!
On the intimate Level 3 at the currently closed St.David’s Hall where even big acts who appear in the main Concert Hall charge far less than those who appear at Cardiff International Arena.
I dread to think what prices will be like if the new 15,000 seater place is ever built.

On checking I find my ticket is actually £80….but £13.50 of add ons including a substantial fee to the venue( that is going to be demolished in due course),and they are charging me to e-mail me my ticket that i am going to print myself!

Saturday…and I’m off to the big rugby match in Newport, kicking off early so we can get home to watch the more minor affair at Twickenham!
And,talking of tickets, I don’t go to to international rugby either because £100 + is far too much for a decent seat.
In the Summer I am going to an England v NZ women’s cricket match.£16….that Is why I am going!

Just appalling the price of seats at some Sports venues. I prefer to watch it on Tv because I get to see the whole field, and every action, but I know many people love the whole atmosphere of being at the Stadium, and they get ripped off by some clubs for being loyal supporters...

It's the same with F1... I love to watch it.. and I would love to go to a stadium, but OMG the price of tickets...

Good morning. Would you believe that it's 56F out there right now? Supposed to be warm all day but rain not starting now until later this afternoon. Suits me. I need to get the lawn fertilized.

I dunno if NL is working today or not. Thought I heard her say she'd be working because we have "company" coming. Guess I'll know if I see her. Do know that Sir will be there, and we have mountains of work to do, including getting those cookies made. More and more cookies!

Off to the cookie🍪mines with me. And 🥐 and all the rest of the stuff. If people would just quit eating for one day...

be careful what you wish for gigi.. if we all started eating less, you'd have a day knocked off your working week...:sneaky:

Today I am going with my friend in her car to Bainbridge. It is about 22 miles away and nice ride. She is looking at a car to buy because she hates her car. Her car is one of those square, box like ones and she has never liked it. Plus it is not dependable and has trouble starting it. I hope it starts okay for us today.

I love to look at cars Kat.. however it's so difficult buying a new one unless you know a lot about cars. In my life I've bought my share of junks which looked like decent cars... and lived to regret it.. so I hope you have a lovely trip out, and your friend finds her future car...

Thank you, holly. I used to love cars. My father was a mechanic and he would always go with me. I have had some very nice cars in my previous life. Now I am content to just look. My friend only plans on driving four more years but needs a dependable one for now.

Had to follow hubby down to his mother's old house.
He took the backhoe to uproot & carry away a huge apple tree.

Nephew comes out telling us his wife wants the tree 'saved'.

I suggested they go ahead with first plan of carry away the tree.
Then go buy a nice 'started 'apple tree to replace it.

Shucks, I should have suggested a nice, flowering bush.
Easier to care for.

Hi all folks!!!! I'm here at last, late sleeper today yayl...it is 29deg F here this morning, so I'm feeling the cold today...no big plans yet, just going with the flow right now...hope you all will join
me tomorrow at the Puppy Bowl !!!!!! LOL....:p:LOL:

I'm very hot now.. because I've been hauling furniture around

Started first in the kitchen , first moving Air fryer, Toaster Et al, to make room for the electric Can Opener... then cleared up some stuff in the barn because it was about to rain again after a ceasefire this morning... and got some tarp over the stuff on the bench.. and then, I went up to the bedroom to lay the new rug.

As the area where the rug has to go, is very close to preventing the bedroom door from opening ( rug too thick).. I have to lay it so it goes under the bedside cabinet.. so that meant lifting the very heavy cabinet out of the way, lifting the older rug up... vacc'ing all the dust and skirting board behind, ..laying the new rug, then lifting the cabinet back into place. Couldn't slide it, it had to be lifted over and onto the Rug... *phew*... I had to take my jumper off, I was sweating.. and my back is protesting loudly....but the new rug is neatly in place and looks nice...:D

Are you and DH owners of the property, or is Nephew? Is Mom still alive?

Toddler GS coming today and will spend the night. DDIL is now at 36 weeks pregnancy, but since she delivered TGS at 37 weeks, we're on baby-watch now. DS is pulling everything together so the house is ready so we're taking the little guy on weekends. We've increased the frequency of having TGS overnight from once a fortnight to at least once a week.

He'll be with us when she goes into labor and perhaps while she's in the hospital. They'll play those cards as they're dealt.

Today and tomorrow promise nice weather, mid 60s for a high, so we can take him for a couple of walks in the stroller, go bye-bye in the car, and so forth. Last week it was lashing down rain (love that expression, @hollydolly) so no walks or drives, which meant coming up with distractions when he'd ask, or should I say demand, "go out!"
