He is being encouraged to run as a solid alternative to Hillary or Bernie. Although he misspeaks on occasion he doesn't come with the baggage of Hillary or the way out thinking of Bernie. I would seriously consider Biden ans so should you...
Please...... an example of Bernie Sander's "way out" thinking..??? Most people that actually listen to him seem to agree with everything he says... hence the 10,000+ crowds wherever he speaks.. Nothing "way out" about what he says.
As for Biden... Love him... but don't believe he has a chance in hell.
Margaret Thatcher was only 54 when she became PM.
Do you have to talk dirty on the forum?????:yuk:
The government is broke and he wants to pay for every kid's college education? That is just one example of way out, way, way out...![]()
"Having baggage" means that the Republicans take you seriously enough to elicit their conspiracy and misinformation apparatus. Benghazi is baggage. White Water is baggage, god know Obamacare is laden with baggage. Are we going to allow the Republican baseless smears to prejudiced our thinking. Hiillary is an intelligent, accomplished woman with more political and governmental experience than anyone in the race. I like Joe Bidden and I like Bernie Sanders, but I'm supporting Hillary as the most electable candidate and I'm convinced that although she'll be reviled by the GOP, she'll be a great president.
It's just a Primary Josiah... Of course I will support whoever wins the Democratic slot.. But.. it would be nice if Hillary sounded a little more like Bernie.. and I'm going to have to think long and hard which one will get my primary vote.
Hillary is faking way to the left until after the primary and then will run to the center...
On your first point QS I think Hillary has been voicing most of the same themes that Bernie articulates so well. Hillary is however, being more political than Bernie because her goal is to get elected in an evenly divided red and blue country whereas Bernie's goal is get the Warren/Sanders message out. It would be nice to think the Warren/Sanders message would win the election but I don't think that will happen in 2016. On your second point, I don't like the role big money plays any more than you do, but you really have to play the game of getting elected president by the rules that currently are in force.
QuickSilver;293652 Speaking of favors... Do you not think that Obama's big push for the TPP and fast track is NOT a huge repayment to Corporations for what ever support they gave him.. Why else would he be selling average Americans down the river with this trade fiasco? We'll see much more of that with Hillary.[/QUOTE said:I'm still undecided about that. I'm waiting to read some more definitive blogs which explore the motives that were in play. I just don't see why Obama feels he owes any political debts to corporate America.

In 2009 Big Pharma agreed to contribute $80 billion towards ObamaCare, largely by expanding the Medicaid discount to 23.1% from 15.1%. They also agreed to mark down prescriptions for seniors by 50% above a certain level.
From what I have read.. Big Pharma is set to benefit most from the TPP.. Didn't Big Pharma help with Obamacare?

You may be right, although it seems to me that Big Pharma got its payback in the wording of the ACA. OK forgetting TPP for the moment, Obama clearly had to cut a deal and a pretty ugly deal with Big Pharma in order to get ACA passed. Do you applaud or boo this sort of tactic, given that unless he did it the ACA would never have seen the light of day? Much as I regret it, I don't see Obamacare morphing into Single Payer anytime soon.
Not broke? Don't believe everything you hear coming from the Feds. I refer to you an article written for Forbes a couple of years ago by Lawrence Kotlikoff who shows why we are and I think things are worse today with the announcement that the Army will be cut by 50 thousand to save money...
There is a lot about Obama that has disappointed me.. His taking single payer off the table without so much as a fight is but one of them. I suppose that we had to swallow other bitter pills to at least get SOME type of healthcare passed... however, the TPP seems to be different. Like you, I don't want to believe that Obama is doing this without regard for Americans and American Jobs.. but the history of past huge trade deals seems to point that way.
