Yesterday, TGS wanted to color. When I lifted the lid on our large box of Crayolas, that wonderful aroma brought me back to my own childhood. (Cheap crayons don't have the same smell or quality, doncha think?)Gosh, I could almost smell a fresh box of Crayola crayons. How exciting that was; a new box and new coloring books!
I want them now.
I used to like this as a kid. I had forgotten the rules so for nostalgia sake...I hope this is not a repeat but I learned yesterday that Chinese Checkers originated in Germany in 1892. I was floored by this. I thought it was some strategic game dating back to an ancient Chinese dynasty.
"Sternhalma, commonly known as Chinese checkers (US and Canadian spelling) or Chinese chequers (UK spelling),[1] is a strategy board game of German origin that can be played by two, three, four, or six people, playing individually or with partners.[2] The game is a modern and simplified variation of the game Halma.[3]"

From what I read, it will be a grassland again around 10,000 years from now. I don't think I will be around to witness that.

I absolutely love that tune. it's one of my all time favorites.John Lester Nash Jr. (August 19, 1940 – October 6, 2020)[1] was an American singer, best known in the United States for his 1972 hit "I Can See Clearly Now".
Nash sang the theme song to the syndicated animated cartoon series The Mighty Hercules, which ran on various television stations from 1963 to 1966.
Interesting for sure. For when you get really bored.....
