Yes, the longer issues are dragged out the more weary people become and the more the details are lost in the mix. Hopefully the tide will turn and the stbx will be the first to tire.

Actually if, as seems to be the case, the ex is hiding assets, he has more to lose by continuing than @hollydolly has because, hiding assets is fraud and, if proven, a court could order him to pay all costs of both parties.
Exactly this !

My mom woke me at some point in the night banging on my bedroom door and boy it scared the bejeebers out of me. Everything was fine except my heart was pounding. I sent her back to bed after taking care of the problem. I was able to get back to sleep for a little while.

I'm going to buy new googles and a bathing cap. 🏊‍♀️
what to sleep in ? :sneaky::D

Hi, kids. GG is home now. I showed my temper, but just a little, and bit my tongue a lot. I didn't quit in a Huff. The reason I didn't quit in a four-cylinder Huff is because I really, really like payday, but I'll admit that it's very tempting. Have any of you noticed that the four-cylinder Huff is now available in an electric model?;)

Whoa. It's 78 at 10am with a feels-like temp of 82. Another steamy day in the South.
Don't quit in a huff! They owe you a proper send off.

Phew... I feel like I've been spun in the wringer.. what a morning and afternoon.... . It's almost 4pm now... and my head is full with legal jargon... I feel I could just call the whole thing off, but I won't... however it's mind bending, and exhausting.. and scary too.. for the future...

My lawyer drafted a really strong email to his lawyers, laying out some home truths about missing finances, and demanding answers from their client my soon2bex... and declaring that if we don't get satisfactory answers as to where money has gone.. then we're going to pull the big guns out.. and take him to court...

I got an almost instant reply from his solicitor ( normally very tardy)... saying she was on holiday for the next 2 weeks and would address it with him after the 14th.. I sent one back saying.. nope.. it needs addressing now, and if you can't do it then find someone who can

...I'm sick of this lawyer of his giving every excuse for not replying to emails... with regard to this case....last time she took 2 months!!...so no more.. Sort it now, or else...
tenor.gifGood for you!

Not only fraud as it pertains to the divorce but if he's hiding and manipulating financials there's a chance he's in tax fraud. If Hollydolly finds that to be the case then she has some heavy leverage to swing a settlement in her direction.

The day you pick your retirement date and announce it, everything will change. Things won't matter so much since after (that date) you'll not have to worry one bit about it. Not your problem. You won't even mind picking up others slack as much because you won't be doing it after (that date)!
Every little nitpicky thing will be null and void after (that date.)

This will be you.....

What was the matter, @birdy?

I made my before sunrise prayer then started straightening up around here. I made room in the storage closet, in anticipation of getting the all important bundle of toilet paper. My son worked late again today, so he couldn’t go to Costco.

I haven’t been keeping up with local politics, so didn’t know who I’d vote for. I researched candidates running in the N.J. primary, went to the polls and cast my vote. I met three of my neighbors there and chatted briefly with them and a cousin-in-law who works the polls. Then it was on to the restaurant where I decided to treat myself to pancakes. Had a nice conversation with the waitress who is very nice and attentive. Unfortunately I won’t see her there again. They are cutting back and she has to find another job.

After breakfast it was on to the supermarket. When bagging my food, a gentleman started talking to me and we wound up talking about how young people better save for the future, the respect we showed adults back in the day and the state of today’s world in which we’re not guaranteed to be safe wherever we are.

He told me how he had helped this 90 year old woman get to her car with heavy packages and warned her to be careful out here because they had passed a group of young men along the way who may have taken advantage of her if she’d been alone (maybe not, but we should err on the side of caution). Let us all do the same and be careful out there.

You know, since it's so hard to keep up with politics and candidates in general I decided lately to keep up with my local politics more.
Seems I know lots of national names from the news etc but don't even know the people running in my own town and county.

My husband does so I cheat off his paper but I want to know who I'm voting for. I'm embarrassed to even admit that!

It's a nice sunny day here and Likkle Grandson is about to go to his Gymnastics class. I have two busy freelance photography days Thu and Fri so will be taking things easy today. Maybe a stroll down the prom while he has his afternoon nap. (I may even take a camera hehe!)

Hi folkies... it's just past 12.30pm... I've come in to get a drink after working in the gardens.. It's supposed to be 62 today but it feels much hotter working in the garden. I've mowed the front lawn , trimmed the front hedge...all over, using the Long reach trimmer... and scrubbed down the front door and porch.... it rained most of the day yesterday so the door and porch get dirty from it...

I'm very hot so I'm having a rest while waiting for the Delivery of my new Flatbed microwave/grill... then I'll go and cut the back lawns..

Was up before 6 a.m.
All night long I thought it was raining & windy.
It hadn't done either of those,,,,, but rain is forecast at about noon today.

Last evening I started to tear out the spend forget me not bushes.
I think I have room to put the left over flowers where they were.

Uncovered some struggling lilies ,, hope the light will help them grow.

Yesterday while we were at Walmart hubby picked up burger & a large package of sliced ham of sliced ham.
Just the thoughts of cooking either of them make me shudder. ???
