Funny how it's rare for me to have any trouble sleeping the night before a day off. Maybe that's a signal about how stressful my job is. ETA: Hm. Stressful? Making bread and pastries is stressful?

I didn't get up until 6:30 and am still gathering my wits.

it's not the work that's stressful for you...I'm sure.. It's the lack of help and support from those around you.... :(

Morning folks.....I'm up and foggy this morning for whatever
reason....on second cuppa, need another I think...not sure what
I'm doing today....hands still painful but oh well!!....Nice and sunny out, no rain I think, 65deg going into 80s today aagain...
Maybe a bit of laundry later today, cleanig lady comes tomorrow....I may call doc about referral to pain clinic for my
hands, would like to get injections...we will see....y'all take care now.....;):p:coffee:

Trying to keep an open mind about our newest person. She's very pleasant (and really, really pretty!) and seems to pick up on things quickly. A good sign that she was so willing yesterday to come in tomorrow even though she wasn't scheduled. She really wants to be full time, but nobody is ever hired full time to start. Keeping my fingers crossed that she stays so that I can work fewer hours.

I wish I hadn't even bothered to take that box full of pix that That Woman sent DS. Had I had any idea what all was in there, I'd have told him to throw the whole box out. Except for ancestors on the kids' father's side and pix of our family when we lived out West, they're all in the garbage now. I have no idea why she thought the kids would want pix of her and their dad...many, many pix, including their wildly expensive homes, their life in London, their his and her Lexus', knowing that we were living paycheck to paycheck and buying their clothes from Walmart/KMart. Grrrr.

That was then. This is now. I need to let it go. Maybe having thrown her and the box in the trash will help, especially when the trash pickup truck drives away on Monday morning.

Put a different harness on the dog,,no pulling to see where the woodchuck had been.

Yesterday,Mac got behind a piece of tar paper by the edge of the barn.
He squeezed under it & was trying work himself further in,, after what ever.

Once he got back out,,he found an old woodchuck hole in the barn..spend sometime trying to dig it out or himself in.

Sooner or later Mac & a woodchuck are going come face to face.

Let's see.....
It's Thursday, right?
Ok, that means gym and a few errands for me, today.

It's sunny, so that's good. A bit cool right now, but expecting it to be around 87°F/30.5°C, later.

I'm hoping to come back later.

There was a doe in our wooded side yard yesterday. This morning I saw her in my garden. Wanna bet there's a fawn in the side yard? I won't go down there because it's overgrown with weeds and trees, but I can't imagine that the doe would be sticking around here without good reason. It's not like there are any other deer with her.

Drying out and cooling down here, so catching up with the grass is practical and it might slow its rush toward knee-high by the 4th of July.

Live Steely Dan tribute show in Oldtown tonight was sadly canceled and rescheduled for September. It's all copacetic, if I really want to get out there is always Gizzard Fest out in Potterville running through Saturday. Yee-hah!

the little house renovation had more than it’s share of glitches. We broke a waterline in the yard . That took hours of cussing and grief before my guy got if fixed. When moving the new refrigerator into the kitchen it scraped the cabinets badly and now they have to be redone. Gurrrrr. And my son was hot and crabby and did a mediocre job painting the garage. So now I have to fix that…staying home today.

@GG,,not to worry if hubby sees who is winning in a Mac vs woodchuck,, he'll soon even/ win the battle.

Wow,,, Hubby, helper & I got the 8 blueberry bushes surrounded by netting!
Then they went for parts for what ever they are fixing.

As I was starting upstairs house keeping ,, battery man delivered a battery,, & I wrote a check for that.

I think there will be no more surprises today.

Rain has stopped , sun is shinning.

All my peony bushes are in bloom.
Always rains when they bloom,, blossoms hang down .
Even the one I tied up.

I worked some in the attic this morning. So much stuff up there, it's ridiculous. But, I keep plugging away at it.
If it wasn't for DH and his emotional attachment to stuff it would have all been gone years ago.
I've got to get someone in to clear my loft, because I just simply can't do it.

The estranged O/H was the one who always went up there to get stuff, and then I'd be at the bottom of the ladder for him to hand it down to.. now there's only me I can't carry anything down ladders.. especially as there is some very bulky and heavy things up there..ironically belonging to him...

I've done nothing all day today except the washing up....

The little 9 year old girl from next door, accompanied by her 2 year old sister came around a little while ago and politely explained she'd kicked her ball into my garden..could she have it back. She turned down the opportunity to come in and get it herself.. so I got it for her.. Very polite children.. if extremely noisy....

The Vitamins I ordered arrived today.. they weren't supposed to come until Tomorrow... along with other things I ordered, but I'm hoping to be out tomorrow, so I just ask them to put the package over the gate...

I've got some chicken cooking in the AF currently, still haven't made my mind up what to have with it... . maybe baked beans...
