why ?... it's soo disgusting...:sick:

We have peanut butter here obviously.. but it's nowhere near as popular as in the US... there's just a few jars on the supermarket shelf.. compared to probably dozens of brands in the US. Also there's VERY few sweets or chocolates made using peanut butter in the UK.. those that are tend to be imports from the US .

Not sure Canadians eat more peanut butter than Americans but it is fairly popular, especially with kids.
I'm not a fan myself and do not like chocolate at all so candy bars with peanut butter in them is never on my menu.
 

My family is enjoying their vacation in Hawaii. Well, I am too old for that stuff. I am more comfortable sitting at
home surrounded by my three pups and taking care of everything they left behind. But I enjoy looking at the
pictures they are sending me. I am happy for them. On the right is my 5 year old grandson having a ball.

Maybe peanut butter is less popular in the UK/Europe, because not many are grown there.

I only eat unsalted, no sugar and no added oils, etc peanut butter. It’s harder to find that kind in the US. I won’t eat any candy products with peanut butter. Yuck.

My grandkids feel it’s my obligation to make them Peanut Butter Corn Flake squares when I go visit them. Again, yuck.
 
I had to call Aetna today because I got a bill from Adapt Health for my diabetes supplies. It was only $21.21 which is much less than what those supplies would have cost elsewhere, but I'm supposed to get my diabetes supplies for free. I thought I was going to have to make a second call to Adapt Health (AH), but the Aetna representative was very helpful and made a three way call so we could settle the issue.

From the experiences I've had with Adapt Health lately, I wonder about the quality of their employees and what the heck goes on at that company. The AH rep couldn't find evidence of the bill I received in her system, not even when I gave her the invoice number along with other pertinent information. She found a bill from three weeks before that which I didn't get because it was sent directly to Aetna. But I didn't see evidence that any bill was submitted when I checked the claims on my Aetna page (before I made the call). The Aetna Rep said she didn't see a claim either.

After my son got home, I put away the groceries he picked up for me from Walmart. He advised me of his arrival time so I could clean off the table and prepare to fill my pill cases. That process involves disinfecting the cases, as well as the tops of the pill bottles which I open with the same hand that handles the pills. I used my pill cutter for the first time (for the Farxiga) and that was kind of fun. My son brought home an eggplant parm dinner and ate while I filled. Of course we had a nice conversation. I got my eggplant parm from Walmart...Michael Angelos' brand and had a portion of that with broccoli for dinner.

well Peanuts are gown in Spain... and are very popular as well as almonds etc.. but really, if you think of it Bananas don't grow here or coconuts.. yet both are hugely popular..

peanuts themselves are very popular, just not peanut butter so it's not incorporated in many food at all...

As for peanut butter, I don't care much for it with sweet. I love the Asian style spicy peanut butter sauces, especially with green onion pancakes. Or just plain on toast or in a bacon lettuce and mayo sandwich!

I love home made mac 'n cheese too 😍

The Kraft Mac 'n cheese (or Kraft Dinner as it's called in Canada) is much different in texture & taste than real Mac 'n Cheese and was always just a cheap & easy meal for kids and where it was really popular was for College/University students who were on a shoe-string budget.

Yeah, and the store brand was almost always a lot cheaper yet. I got by adding frozen peas and canned tuna to it, also really cheap in the '70s. A little more "complete" meal when eking out an existence in those hard times.

There was also an "Italian style" boxed spaghetti product. That got a can of tomato paste, a little butter or margarine, and some cooked ground beef & soy protein ("Vita Burger"). The "plain" version without the Italian spices packet was too bland but even cheaper.
 
Believe it or not, smooth peanut butter is used by some to restore the black plastic trim, bumpers etc on cars and vans. There's nothing special about peanuts, it's the oil that does the trick. I use 'Danish oil' on the plastic trim of my camper. I don't care for peanut butter, or Satay sauces etc.
A bit of shopping today and double the value of my camper by topping up with diesel. Heading off next week for a break from gardening. No fixed itinerary. but there are a number of castles and palaces that we would like to visit.

the care lady coming at 11am to clean a bit of this dump...and
have let the laundry go long enuff that I have to start it today...
Calling for storms tonite, but we shall see...otherwise no big deals....gonna call primary doc, see if he'll give me referral for
pain clinic, but bet he will want me to come in to see him first
so he can put his hand in my pocket first.....!!! Catch u later on.....;):cool::coffee:🤪
