Incredibly beautiful gorgeous day in NYC and I have laundry. Ugh. Maybe I'll just handwash a few necessities. Want to get out today.

Yesterday was fun. We went to my local park, twice. Been playing in this park since 1953 and somewhere I have the pics to prove it. Three generations playing in this park. So many ethnicities and languages. When I was little it was just Ashkenazis and Italians. Now, everyone represented, from every corner of earth. For one moment, I was actually transported back. I was looking at where people still play handball and saw a scene from years & years ago. Freaky. Same place, different time. Echos.

Oh why is there always laundry? Always dusting? Got my LR really clean. Sparkling in some places.

OOppps, well first goof of the day, yest evening I put a pound
of burger in the microwave, not turned on, to begin thawing
for fixing today, and just now realized it is still in there !!!!!!!
So what for supper now ????LOL.....:rolleyes:🤪

@hollydolly He's a piece of work! And a doctor's note? What? Makes me wonder if the newest GF works or is merely decorative?

Kids, it's too hot to do anything outside. I watered the flowers and escaped to the coolness of The Hovel.

I actually turned the A/C on last night. Turned it back to just the fan when I left for work. It's still fan only, but that's probably gonna change this afternoon. One could say it's a tad humid. It's only 85 (ack! at 10:30 in the morning?) but the feels-like temp is already 90. Years ago when we lived out West, we'd get up in the morning to 80 or more and thought nothing of it. The humidity was rarely more than 10%.

It was still hot in the west. More like an oven than a steam bath though.

Hot and getting hotter, but right now the sometimes-inconvenient shade is working to my advantage. Especially with a nice light but steady breeze as now.

Yard work finished up early before the real heat arrives for the next five days, I can sit out here at the patio table just enjoying the tittering twittering birds and pre-Summer. Just dry enough to still be nearly skeeter-free to boot! The breeze helps with that as well.

I think I'll go in and cut some cubes of chicken breast to dip in spicy BBQ sauce and munch them along with carrots and celery and some grape tomatoes back out here. Maybe even have a Corona with a wedge of lime.

Yesterday I spent several hours deep cleaning the bathrooms (when I do one, I do all three), mopping, dusting, etc. Still more dusting to do but that will wait until I get up another head of steam. Housework and random household chores are never finished in a big house. By the time you're done, it's time to start over again.

That's one of the attractions of the RV. I can fully clean the interior in 20 minutes or less, including mopping.

We're at the court stage now Trish... we've been through the negotiations, and this is now where we're at. He was given a final date to agree after refusing to attend mediation ( MIAM)... before I would take him to court and allow a judge to decide. The final date was today, they kept us waiting until close of day yesterday to come back with that derisory and insulting offer.. so now we have to go to court... and it's the amount of money that it's going to cost me to have the lawyer represent me.. that has me shocked.. I just can't afford that... it's HUGE...
I have no experience of no fault divorces but, it seems to me, it just enables one party to walk away leaving the remaining party to either accept whatever they are offered or incur the prohibitive cost of court proceedings.

I am sorry you are in this position @hollydolly, it seems grossly unfair :(

yes it seems to me more and more that this is what's happening.. however I will be speaking to my legal rep in the morning.. and she is so incensed by his actions that she said '' You cannot let this man get away with this''... so we're going to discuss ways for me to be able to afford representation within the court system... which will then take more into consideration the pension pots albeit drawn down and left with less than a quarter of the amount that was in them the year he left... and obviously his apartment.. and my rights within the Divorce law...

What sticks in my craw out of all of this.. is aside from his absolute lies... is the fact that I have to pay... I'm just incensed by it.. I felt that whoever filed for divorce would be the one to pay... but no... I'm having to pay ...as the injured party.. as much if not more money as he is paying.. and no guarantee the courts will award costs against him on my behalf..

My hands have been more painful this last few days than they have ever been since I was first Diagnosed with the OA. I've not been able to lift anything remotely heavy, especially the tea kettle...so it's very risky trying to make tea and lifting the boiling kettle.. in case I drop it.. because I just can't grip it..

I realise it may be the stress that's causing this... but it's just so painful...

It would be a travesty if he got away with this. Hopefully your solicitor is about to throw you a lifeline. Presumably, if your solicitor is determined to try and help you to proceed further, she believes that you have a better than even chance of succeeding.

I have always thought that, unless there are circumstances which would make it unfair, in the event of a divorce, the couple were entitled to an equal share of all finance and assets earned and obtained during the course of the marriage.

You are wise to be cautious as, you don't want to be in the position of throwing good money after bad but, hopefully, your conversation with the legal rep tomorrow will be positive and you will be more confident in making a decision as to how to proceed 🤞

Fathers Day lunch at a seafood restaurant. My 5-year old grandson provided full-time entertainment
with a chicken dance above the table and playing a puppy under the table. We took home half of the
food, and my pups appreciated the handouts.

Fiddlesticks. It's not a school night, and I'm sooo sleepy. I don't wanna be wide awake at 3 or 4 am so trying to stay awake at least until 9.

I do have to get outside early enough in the morning to get the watering and deadheading done. If it's not too hot, maybe some weeds will meet an early demise (and it'll serve 'em right!).

Right now I'm gonna expand my intellectual horizons by indulging in my favorite murder shows.

@hollydolly I can't provide anything except big virtual hugs 🤗 🤗 🤗 and positive thoughts for tomorrow.

@hollydolly, depending when you/he obtained the villa in Spain and the long boat, won’t you be entitled to half of these?

Can you heat your water for the tea one cup at a time in the microwave.
no to the boat ( narrowboat not long boat lol) he bought that years before we got married it was his home for a while as a single man... yes to the house in Spain.. but that's a hole 'nother ball game... 😣

yes much as I hate the taste of microwaved tea.. yes I may have to do that
