What have you bought recently?

From Amazon: I got a deal on three 8 oz jars of Folgers instant decaf ($18.95 vs. one jar for $9.19). I just ordered NYX clear vegan lip oil. I thought the lip oil I ordered last week, which I picked up yesterday was clear, but I inadvertently ordered the pink tint. Now my son will have to take return it at Kohls. I'm glad I didn't open the package yet. I have a month to return it; returns are quick and easy

All those flowers that DD made me buy yesterday have been planted. There's just one thing wrong with them...there aren't enough of them:( I just got done telling @OneEyedDiva that there's no such thing as too much ice cream or too much chocolate. There's also no such thing as too many flowers. There is, however, such a thing as too little $$

I thought about those digital photo frames for myself. Let us know how you like it after you set it up.
That would be the kind I would want. Not connected to the internet. Thank you for the fast reply!
It's taken me a while to get back to you. I've been working with the frame, there were some unexpected issues that came up. My final assessment is that I DO like the frame. It does what I wanted it to do. Once it is set up (I used a flash drive), it doesn't need internet to use it. Just plug it in, and it starts up.

* Most importantly, it was very easy to set up and to use....at least for what I intended it for. It can actually to all kinds of things that I don't need for my Mom, so I didn't even get into that stuff.

* My main issue was with the fact that it is "landscape only", portrait is no an option. Meaning that the frame sits horizontally.

There are very easy adjustments in the settings as to aspect ratio, so the pictures do look right, regardless of which direction they were taken.

I bought the 7 inch frame, so any portrait pictures look a little small. When the picture would allow, I cropped some of the portrait pictures, to make them shorter. This has worked well. It's more time consuming, but I enjoy doing it.

Here is an example:
A portrait picture of my Grandparents:

Was changed to:

My final assessment is that I'm happy with this item. I think my Mom will enjoy it. Now, I just need to find pictures of her old friends, but that's a completely different challenge! 😉

I bought a Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in the color Independante.

Men don't wear perfume, do they? This is actually known as a cologne, although it often gets mistaken for after-shave, I bought it yesterday whilst I was out. As for men not wearing perfume, if you have ever stood on a crowded train on London's underground system, you would probably wish that more of them did.

I have a bottle of Opium. I didn't know that they also made it for men.

Although I like the scent, it's very heavy (strong) and the older I get, the more it makes me sneeze, so I hardly ever wear mine. 🤧

Funny you should talk about men not wearing perfume. Today, I am wearing “ Un homme de Caron” , a man’s perfume! Silly, isn’t it…that a fragrance should be deemed masculine or feminine?

A chuck roast because I've been jonesing for roast beast for weeks and weeks. Tired of chicken. Tired of pork. Tired of veggie meals. I want roast beast, and by god, I'm gonna have roast beast. With mashed potatoes and gravy. So there.

@Pinky & @hollydolly:

please don't be sad. it's the reality of old age -- all before us, all of us now, and all after us must deal with. ;)
I'm already old...Pinky it's just too young to be here on the forum truth be told... but me...I've gone past the old Folk ticker tape line....:ROFLMAO:

Personally I put the sad face because I've had to undergo 2 of those.. and they are a horrible procedure

I wore that for years! One day I woke up not being able to be around any kind of fragrances.

A new heat pump. My old (2005) heat pump will be replaced Monday morning ... $4,045 installed
The joys of home ownership ... cool in the summer and warm in the winter

I have a heat pump at my house, too. The problem with it is that the house just doesn't get warm enough when it gets super cold. I live in the northeastern part of the US. I'm thinking of converting to a geothermal heat pump at some point in the future.
