Yanno what? Eff it! I'm gonna have my coffee in the morning. Surgery is local anesthetic and outpatient. I looked at the link and it's one-size-fits-all instructions that everybody gets! I understand why nothing by mouth after midnight for general anesthesia, and even in some cases for local. It's so you don't regurgitate and choke to death. I'm not even scheduled until 1:30 so a cup of coffee at 5-6am isn't going to make an iota of difference, especially since scheduled at 1:30 means 1:30 or later, most likely later.

If you don't hear from me Thursday, you'll know I died from coffee.

Exactly, it doesn't make any sense that you're deprived if there's not GA involved.. so go ahead and have a coffee.... might be best not to have cream tho'... just in case you get Nauseous..

Plus you'll be able to drink little water closer to the time...

Anyway I hope all goes well.. there's no reason it shouldn't. Are you having just one eye done at a time ?

I don't know how long it takes, but I go home after it's done. DD has to stay on the premises the whole time. Sure hope her phone is 100% charged because they provide absolutely nothing to read and no TV except for Kaiser propaganda.

I hope it goes well for you. I have had both eyes done at different times and it was a breeze. Take care of yourself.

Today's mail bought me a long letter from my daughter in law!
Sounds like everyone is doing well at their house.🥰

Oldest grand daughter is applying for grad school.☺️
Am guessing she hope's to become nurse practitioner.

Youngest had an internship over the Summer.
Doesn't say what it was about.:oops:

They have signed our Downs grand daughter up for several fitness classes.:)

Today supposed to be a HOT one, with storms.
According to weather maps looks like Lake Erie area will get most of it.:eek:

My doctor's appointment yesterday went well enough, I guess. Nothing was truly resolved, but that's because my problem is just starting...it's not bad enough at this time for aggressive action. That's a good thing, right?

I finished my short story magazine. I skipped 6 stories. Read one that started out good but by the end it was a waste of time. But, I did read one that was really, really good! So it was worth going through the magazine to find it. Next, I will be starting Destroyer #137...I'm looking forward to seeing what Remo is up to!!

I had a great time at the lake yesterday. We park at the lake, and start out with an uphill walk. We turn around at the top and go back downhill, for a total distance of about 3 miles. It was over 95°F, so the sweat was just pouring off of us when we got back to the car, changed shoes, and walked into the lake! The water was just a tad cooler than I had hoped for, but it was still great! Very refreshing! We do this every summer, but this year there has been too much rain cooling off the water temp. I'm hoping to go again tomorrow, maybe even tonight...I love it!

I'm hoping to work on pictures for my Mom's frame today. Since I don't have a scanner, it's a very time consuming job, but worth it!
 
Y'all have any idea how many food commercials are on TV? I never paid any attention to them before. Now that I can't have anything to eat...I swear I'm so hungry I could chew the @zz out of a rag doll. And thirsty? I feel like I've just walked in midday heat from El Paso to Tuscson. That's 300 miles of desert. I need a 50-gallon drum of water and a box of very long straws, please.

ETA: So to kill time until time to leave, I thought I'd read the online news. Every other article is about food.

I never watch adverts on tv.... :D but it's sods law tat would happen !
