More leaves here, the saga continues. Pickup is tomorrow and then 2 more will end the season.

Any left over will sit in barrels or piled in the treeline out back until Spring.

The ceiling light in our bedroom failed. I checked it out and it's definitely the LED transformer but I'm not too bothered as the light fitting was a devil to clean. We drove to the nearest shop where we hoped we could buy a basic light fitting and were in luck. We got a new fitting and a lampshade at a knock down price. It was awkward to fit, but it's done and it looks good. Since we were in town we looked into ASDA and found sherry on offer. Not a bad day after all.

OMG, people are buying cat and dog seats for the car?!?! Do they make them for goldfish as well?

People are getting seriously demented. It's enough to make one wonder how much longer we have as a species.

Went to the medical offices to get my blood drawn. I rarely have a problem with phlebotomists or blood draws, but OUCH - my arm still hurts like a mutha (pardon my NY-ese) and it's nearly 2 hours later.

The lab tech started fishing for a vein and I said, "Ow, Ow OWWWW - STOP, STOP, STOP!!!" In a more amusing situation it would have worked in a Dr. Suess book.

She stopped, got out a tiny needle, went to the other arm and immediately the blood started flowing, but the damage was done. My arm hurts from the inside of my elbow down to my wrist.

I appreciated her apologies, but left with the firm resolution that no one will ever again attempt to draw blood from me with a standard needle.

Since that episode obviously wasn't more fun than I could stand, I have a dental cleaning later this morning.

@StarSong I dread my yearly physical now since Kaiser has decreed that it's a physical only. If there are any questions, we have to make separate appointments for. each. question. No kidding.
That isn't true here. I got a physical two weeks ago and the doctor addressed all my questions - and his.

You might want to complain to Member Services.

I feel for you @StarSong
One time, when I was donating blood, the young nurse couldn't find a vein. Along comes another nurse who jabs me .. instant pain & throbbing. I foolishly chose to keep the needle in until the procedure was finished. The result was constant pain, for several months in that arm.

I hope your arm feels better, very soon.

Am a bit "under the weather",,Last I was really Woozy from watching TV???
This morning we were going to a larger city to shop,, Told hubby can we go tomorrow?

About that time our new roofing for his garage arrived.
The Amish crew will be here Friday to put it on.

This makes me wonder will they want to use our Bathroom?

May have to cage our excitable Boston Terrier.

Morning all..it's overcast at 11.25am ... now.. it was sunny when I got up earlier.

The new Shark Vac has been delivered, right one this time..... but the old one is still waiting to be picked up... apparently they'll be here before 2pm.

I've been trying to get through to my dentist surgery for the last hour, no-one's picking up..
I've had a toothache for about 3 or 4 days.. and I'm thiniking I might get an infection in it if I don;t see somebbody soon, because its hurting quite a bit...

met office has declared that theres a high chance of snow for this area on the 18th and 23rd of November, so this weekend I'm going to make sure I have a tarp covering everything in the barn.. because as snow melts on the roof, it leaks right through into the Bran.. and soaks everything.. despite the fact that rain doesn't leak in ... which is always odd to me

It's an inside day today. I put off filling out a new patient form online. That will be first on the list.
Starting another blanket from a preceding generation's quilt top. I am adding thick fleece instead of traditional batting and fabric. This one is thinner but long. Perfect for my memory foam floor mattress. One granddaughter claims that when she stays over. She will dig this blanket. That word was from her preceding generation. 😁

Thanks HL, I finally got through to the dentist they've made me an appointment for Monday ..which is fast for dentists in the Uk these days..long gone are the days we could see a dentist on the same day, even with toothache....so I'm grateful its quite soon, I can take painkillers to get me through until then..
