Sooo… I decided that as the final step in the soap making process (after letting it sit for 24 hours), I’d use my Magic Bullet (MB) mixer, which is small compared to a regular mixer, instead of the hand mixer. Well, I filled it too much and after the second whirl, it started running over. I had to unplug it to stop it. What a mess! I cleaned off the MB as soon as possible because the last time something overflowed, it ruined the motor and I had to buy a new one. I’ll let it sit until tomorrow and see if it still works. At least the consistency of the soap was smooth and creamy.

Also I washed clothes this afternoon, but I was tired when I got back upstairs and did not feel like drying them.. I put them in the studio where it stays cool. I used fabric softener which should keep them from smelling musty until I start drying them early tomorrow morning.

Llynn, how many Chemo treatments do you have to have this time ?...I hope if I ever get very sick, that I can be as brave and as stocial as you...🤗

I recall waiting while my mother underwent chemo. How I wish I could have traded places with her.

We do not do Christmas shopping, and would probably shop online, in any case, and I order groceries delivered; so we have not been in any of the stores or malls to see how busy they are.
We made a trip to Walmart the other day for something that Bobby needed, and it was not any busier than on any usual day, but this weekend is probably going to be busy everywhere with shoppers.

It is just above freezing here, but colder with the wind chill, and the house is cold. I have the little heater on by my feet, and wrapped up in my fleece robe to keep warm this morning. I need to put my knitted slippers on, and make myself a cozy winter hat !
If we dry clothes early in the morning, that helps warm up the house, too.

Well I spoke to soon... now at 11.40am the sun is shining.... 🌞🌞 still cold out there I can see people walking pat with theit thick coats and has on... but I have my window open a little bit here in the office room...

I'm layered up, .. got fleece lined leggings on.. thick wool socks.. and 3 layers on top...

I can hear the farmers shooting in the distance... it just occured to me that I haven't been shooting at the range since the o/h has been gone.. I think I'll start again in the new Year....
 
It's morning again, not too cold and no rain expected until tonight.

We might get out and about today. DD said Sunday, but it's supposed to be rainy and cold tomorrow. I don't wanna go out in a cold rain.

Today is Dessert for Dinner day. It will probably be hot fudge pudding cake because I've run out of ideas for anything easy, and I'm not inclined to spend a lot of time making dessert.

ETA: Okay. Found a recipe for a different kind of pudding cake. I'll try it.

Can you shoot where you live? I've never been to a range in my life, but I can (and do) shoot all I want right here at home.

No I can't shoot here at the house, on my land... here in the uk, you can only shoot legally on your land if you're a farmer or hunter... otherwise you have to shoot on the rifle range

No skating for me today. 😥

My plan was to clean/thaw the chest freezer if we stayed home today. I do that mostly by myself, but I do need Dio's help for parts of it. I won't start that project until he lets me know if he is feeling well enough.

The freezer is almost empty, now is the time! ....before I give in to my urge to start making soups and casseroles!!

A walk around our small town is a reminder that Christmas is just around the courner.

My older daughter has been an English teacher in China for over ten years. She has a three bedroom apartment for herself on the 22nd floor of a high-rise. Twice a year she is coming home. Flying against the rotation of the earth, her flight from Hong Kong is scheduled for 12:40 hours. But flying back during the first week in January and with the rotation of the earth, her flight is expected to last 16:05 hours non-stop to Hong Kong.

We are all so excited seeing her again and celebrating Christmas with her. Her flight with United Airlines is expected to land in Los Angeles this evening at 5:45 p.m. PST. Right now her airplane is over Japan. The darker areas are the earth's night time, while the lighter areas are alrady day time. The day time / night time moves from east to west. My daughter can text for free while flying across the Pacific, so we are constantly in touch. Her airplane just landed 20 minutes early.

Morning folks!!! Just looked outside and it is raining, again I guess...about 44F now, temp won't go up much today, just
hope it does not freeze today out there....welp last nite I had
the fun of bingeing on Spiderwick Chronicles on my ROKU set
up, what a show, funny at points and silly at other points...but
was my first exp in streaming, now I got to figure out how
to watch local news if it is possible, and perhaps get some of
my old reality shows I like about alaska,,...this is another achy, painy day, but oh well.....take care all be good to each other!!!

I have ROKU also. I don't know a lot, but on the HOME screen there is a "search" option. They move it around, sometimes you will need to scroll down to see it. That is where you can look up your shows.
