Hubby's plow truck is ready for Snow.

He has too many trucks, besides the plow truck.
Two that he uses to haul firewood with & the truck we use for distance drives.

I've send him to the bank, check book doesn't agree with bank statement.

There are times someone else needs to help him.
You have four trucks!?! I was feeling indulgent because we have two (one for business needs and one to haul our 5th wheel), but you've got us beat!

A chilly 36F here. Nothing much to relate outside of household tasks.
Might make a pot of escarole and beans. If not, then tomorrow.
Time to run the dishwasher so, adios.

Welp, my busy plaNS for the day kinda went bye bye with

some folks, and get cable tv dropped....so guess I cannot

Get more done tomorrow I guess...;)

Also need to run by bank for some greenbacks...catch you later gaters!!!! ;):giggle::coffee:
Do you remember they used to have (I still do), a thick rounded electric element that you inserted into your cup to heat your coffee?
You need a large one of those!
No, I'm kiddng! Don't do it!!!! 😋

It's been raining all morning and probably most of last night too. It should stop late today.

My excitement for today is my grocery delivery. They already texted me that the frozen cherries I wanted are out of stock. 😞 I didn't want a substitute.

I'm looking forward to a mortadella sandwich for brunch and later; will put the boneless pork ribs in the oven w/ some BBQ sauce I think. Or maybe fresh garlic, rosemary and honey?

Doggie Delight has been doing well. She still limps but is not in pain. She still wants to play and wishes she could jump up on the couch but can't. I'm sad about that.

Good day everyone..... :coffee::coffee::coffee:
You eat so well! 😊

Well... been a busy couple of days...

Helping kids with moving house, planning an Advent supper with guests for this Sunday, cooking, shopping, and visiting Ed

Today I had a follow up with my optometrist and had a good report... no further visits x8 months. Just had to drive home in Very Sunny conditions with my eyes dilated (Yes, I had on sunglasses)

Tonight we will have a special Advent Event at church, looking forward to that

How is Ed these days , CS ?:)

temperature here is -8, but next week it is supposed to get up to 6... so there goes the snow we got last week...
One more time, y'all. That word is sNOw ;)

@Teacher Terry You spelled it right, Namekagon. Hayward is just up the road a ways from where I spent the first four years of my life...Hurley. There's a book called "Hurley, Hayward and Hell" that sums up what the area was like in its heyday.

@Jules and @StarSong I used to like going to craft fairs, too, but I can't remember the last time I even heard of one anywhere around here.

Kids, I had adventures today. Lunch with DS/DSIL was fun, and I stuffed myself. They gave me some to take home for lunch tomorrow. They had home made guacamole and gave me some of that, too...it didn't get saved to have with lunch tomorrow because I couldn't resist and already ate it.

Getting there? That's where the adventure was. Uber kept telling me that the credit union declined my card. What? Tried a second time, then a third. No soap. So I called the credit union. Nope. They didn't have a problem with it. Grrrr. I was getting so frustrated so called DS, and he ordered the Uber from his end. Then he wouldn't let me pay him for it, so I just left a check on his desk before I came home.

They're disgusted and fed up with their nitwit landlord and the washers and dryers in their basement that rarely work (but eat the coins!) and decided to buy an apartment-size washer, the kind that rolls up to the kitchen sink, attaches to the faucet and drains into the sink. I called when I got home to thank them for lunch and told him to use the check that I left against the cost of the washer.

BTW, Mama Claus' refrigerator is really nice! Spacious and clean with adjustable shelves in both the fridge and the freezer and a fridge light that actually works. They like being able to see what's in it.

That was my big day.

I balanced my checkbooks, made liquid soap, played games on my phone and napped. I also finished watching Beverly Hills Cop: Alex F (before my Netflix subscription expires at midnight). I fast forwarded through some of it.

Making the soap is easy. I started with a little more than half a bar ( of what's pictured) then add it to water and boil. Since the soap is soft, it's easy to slice with a knife. I don't need to add glycerin, as instructions for soap making recommend. I use a hand blender and add more water if necessary to "break it down" since the soap is the consistency of lard after it cools.

I use soaps I marketed (a couple of decades ago) for a small company out of Chicago along with other skin care, candles and aromatherapy products. The soaps were all natural, hand made with humectants and without chemicals or alcohols. They were considered "gourmet" and sold for $5 a bar over 20 years ago. One full bar makes the amount shown in these containers. My hands don't get so dry when using homemade soap.

Another grim dull wet day.. .. Very often in December we have beauiful blue skies, crisp frosty days... but it would seem not this year...

I have 2 orders arriving today from Amazon..one of which is a Coffee cup warmer which will save me using the microwave to reheat tea...all day

Also..I ordered some high heel ankle boots in the sale from a shoe shop.. but it was going to be too costly to have them delivered.. so I opted for click and collect, the store is in the next county...they said it would take 3 days for them to get to the store.. instead it;s taken just 6 hours... but I'm not going to go and get them today..I'm sure everywhere will be packed with shoppers, so next week will do, they'll keep them for 7 days...
While I'm over there I'll have my hair cut & blow dried ready for my Christmas lunch and outing with my daughter...

Yesterday, my grandson said "No, Don't Go" when it was time for me to leave. ❤️ We lauighed so hard together! :ROFLMAO: during our visit! We have been laughing hysterically with each other since he was a baby. I love him so much.

Had to boss around AccessARide in the morning, but the ride itself Fine. Stuck in holiday traffic on way home, but my driver lovely young man who endured it with grace!

Today have Library Book Club at 3pm. Book: The Spectacular. So-so, okay, not spectacular but good read.

I have a late start in getting here today. I've been talking to a sick friend for most of the morning, trying to cheer her up. She's been sick for about three weeks, was getting a little bit better, and now has had a really bad relapse. In the meantime she keeps going back to the doctor, having tests, etc....and they're not really finding anything.

Dio woke up sick this morning, too. Head cold, cough, etc. (no fever) I suppose I'm next...time to start taking some extra Vitamin C.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow. If it does, we will not be going to Branson. Now that Dio is sick, we may not have gone anyway.

I need to go make breakfast. After that, I want to make the last batch of Kahlua Fudge.

Thanks for letting me know I spelled it right. It didn’t look correct. It’s a beautiful area in the summer but much too cold and snowy in the winter. 🥶
