Just what I was thinking.Ya know what, Mike? I don't think I would. I would be afraid that by "righting" some of the things I screwed up, I may risk missing out on some of the most precious memories I have, and some important events. Kinda like in It's a Wonderful Life... one change could alter so many other things.
A long-time high-school friend of mine called me yesterday and she got into what age is doing to us, and l agreed with her. AFTER the call l thought about it and asked myself what kind of deserter from life am l to bad talk life that way when l think about all the wonderful people and their love that I've been given in this lifetime. You all know know who you are and l will never forget you.In the current world system humans are born, pay taxes, suffer, then die. Not much to change.![]()
I agree with you 100%. I was being facetious. Life has its' challenges for sure, but we were sure lucky to have been given the opportunity to have experienced this life, and appreciate we have lived at least 5 decades and have a life full of memories.A long-time high-school friend of mine called me yesterday and she got into what age is doing to us, and l agreed with her. I agree with the first part of your reply, but not the second. My main mistake was to pick the wrong parents..No, I wouldn't. I think all the experiences we've had over our lives... including mistakes... make us who were are today. And I'm happy with who I am. Also, mistakes give us the opportunity to learn.
Me, too! There was so much unhappiness and tragedy in my life that I would gladly go back if I could change things.yep, without a shadow of a doubt..
I must try and find that.... ...so sorry you had a horrible history too CS....Another movie that illustrates going back and changing things, is called "About Time." I love this move and have watched it twice.
Oh, hades, yes. I'd go back to when I met my ex and run screaming in the opposite direction. If you were given the chance to go back in time
to start at a date of your choice, would you take
it, I would, just to try and right some of the wrongs
that had in my life, through stupidity, more than
choice, of course I would hope to keep the knowledge
that I have today.
Mike.
I'd just be a woman going her own way from the get go instead of having to learn the hard way. Though this assumes when you go back, you go back with the lessons hard learned.Would not change a thing!
I am thrilled with how my life is now. Changing anything when I was younger would mean I don't have what I have now.
And for those that would go back, how do you know that things would end up better?
I think that in some ways, you can relate, Holly!I must try and find that.... ...so sorry you had a horrible history too CS....![]()
Oh yes indeed... unfortunately...I think that in some ways, you can relate, Holly!
