Does your butt ever hurt from sitting?

From the pictures I've seen of you my handsome friend, you definitely don't look like you have a cushy tushy. I can't imagine you are too sedentary either. But for when you are, I hope you have or will invest in a nice comfortable, well padded chair. :D To answer your question, if I sit in a hard chair for too long, yes my butt will start to hurt, so I try to avoid doing it.
Well, I'm sure it comes as no shock to you that we have an ongoing mutual admiration society, and my non cushy tushy thanks you.
I'm not normally a bottom dweller, but when the days are hot, I tend to spend a bit more time holding down furniture and such while singing praises to the genius who invented AC.

Now if I could only find an office chair with a butt massage feature. That would be glorious.
Maybe I'll invent one. I'm probably not going to name it Butt Buddy though (For obvious reasons I will not speak of). Although, some of the people who search for that on the net might benefit from the product (Just sayin')..... Note to self: Shut up and move along.

Anyway, America may not be recognized as the land of small assets, but surely there are a few achin' bacons that deserve a little TLC.
Hmmm ..... you know, women get breast augmentation, what about that for putting a little more junk in the trunk for enhanced sitting enjoyment. Ahhhh, like sitting on a water bed. What could go wrong?

I spent a lot of time riding in my vehicle while on patrol, but I used a special cushion that allowed air to circulate through the cushion. It was very comfortable and my butt and back didn’t sweat. The state police issued the cushions.

My tailbone sure does. I've broken it twice and it has never been "right" since. Sitting for a long time, especially on a hard surface, really hurts.
Years ago, after a fall and my tailbone not healing right, an orthopedic doc :devilish: gave me a steroid injection near it. It was then that I knew to never complain about tailbone problems. Mum is the word! A bad situation can be made worse. Talk about a pain under the panties!

I broke my tailbone and it definitely put a damper on running and some exercises for a few weeks. But I guess I was lucky because it seemed to heal up properly.
Out of all the bones I’ve broken and I’ve broken plenty, my tailbone was the most painful one of them all. I’m glad your tailbone healed well. Like @Deya, mine just never healed properly.

More junk in the trunk is a real thing. I think it is called a Brazilian butt wax. I have no knowledge of it adding to sitting pleasures, but it is popular for taking selfies. As far as sitting pleasure benefits, I would refer you to their boyfriends and/or johns that might shed a light on that subject. I think it looks horrid, but perhaps being an old lady I have overlooked the merit of such an enhancement. ;)

My tailbone is bent and is painful at times. It was recommended that I have it removed since it serves little purpose and is not necessary for life. Because it’s a tedious and delicate surgery due to the nerves in the area, there are only a few surgeons in the state willing to perform the surgery. When the surgeon explained to me that there is a small nerve that runs next to the Coccyx and if the surgeon would happen to even nick that nerve, I may end up wearing a colostomy bag. At that point, I made the decision to not have the surgery.

More junk in the truck and Brazilian butt wax are too completely different things. A Brazilian wax is taking off ALL the hair around the butt and private parts.

If this is a genuine discussion, and not just an attempt to test the limits of what is allowed on this forum, I have a suggestion. If you spend many hours every day sitting at a table or desk, the chair you choose can be very important. Years ago, my doctor recommended getting an ergonomic chair with good back support. That made a tremendous difference.

Of course, if it's really a "butt" problem, that probably won't go away just by getting a better chair. But lots of people seem to like sitting on cushions, so they probably do help somewhat. I'd suggest finding a good proctologist.

I think for all of us, getting up periodically and walking around, instead of sitting in front of the computer for hours, is a good idea also. Our bodies are not designed to just sit for hours.

I had to read the question twice, especially the last word, because I almost answered, "Yes, but it's nice to be regular." 😊

Dear @PeppermintPatty

I was thinking the Brazilian butt lift. Getting confused, amuses the granddaughters. They don't correct me until I have made a fool of myself. I knew it had something to do with Brazil.:ROFLMAO:

My husband fell straight back last year barely missing the granite counter with his head. His tailbone took the main force of the fall. He conventionally forgot that I also had tailbone problems years earlier. Telling him he was lucky and so was I by escaping widowhood, didn't seem to ease the pain.

I found the best relief by using a cold gel pack. Also applying Voltaren carefully right above the area, helped.

A few months ago, he had a big infection above his tailbone. I got it drained and bandaged and will say that was an ugly business. Again his famed donut device came out of the closet.

Since the topic is senior sitting and resulting pain in the buttock from it, the easy solution is getting up and walking. Even if you have to hold on to something.

One thing not yet mentioned, is wearing clothes and having a chair that don't breathe. Fungal infections can result from such.

All serious business, but being able to joke about it can also distract from the pain. Laughter is the best medicine.

Well, that's what I thought, but what do I know.
It sounds a bit crazy, but hey, never underestimate the value of a shiny hiney right? What if you get a little tipsy and decide to moon someone?

That's hilarious, but hopefully a topic for another thread. I'm not goin' there.
