If it bleeds, it leads.
I never heard of Savannah before this situation.I agree, I think if Savannah wasn't a well known personality this wouldn't be the news story every day The latest issue of People has her and Nancy on the cover
Me either.I never heard of Savannah before this situation.
How much Epstein news were you getting over there? Did it stop with this story?I understand but here in the Uk.. they are just not on our TV's at all, daytime or otherwise... we have never heard of these people, so why it's in our news every day is very puzzling...
Me neither, I don't watch network news programs.I never heard of Savannah before this situation.
At first I was caught up in it like the OJ Simpson case. After a while with no new leads you become desensitized to it. I pretty much scan the headlines and sub titles now unless something of importance comes up. I do hope they find her and is safe, but it's doubtful. Why?
I don't mean to sound insensitive. It is a tragedy that she was kidnapped from her home and I hope, although I doubt, that she is okay.
What bothers me is that it is a news segment every day with "little clues" without any real information. It's like people are obsessed with this case and are hanging on every little bit of evidence that is disclosed. The news seems to think these little nuggets will draw viewers.
I record the news and fast-forward through this story every day. If something is revealed that is substantial I'm happy to watch it. How many seniors go missing each day, many due to dementia, who never make news stories?
I'm disgusted with mainstream media for sensationalizing this story.
Sam here. I check for updates but checked out of watching it.At first I was caught up in it like the OJ Simpson case. After a while with no new leads you become desensitized to it. That is odd! What's worse IMO..is that we in the UK are having this story every day in our news as well.. and we don't even know these people... that's ridiculous !
exactly . It's like me telling you Americans that kate Garraways husband died....... the likelihood is you've never heard of Kate Garraway a British tv presenter, whose husband died.... but imagine if you got that in your inbox, and in your media.. every single days for weeks.... it would be very strange..That is odd!
Same here. BEYOND fed up with THAT topic!!!Wish it would cut into the Jeffery Epstein coverage, sure tired of seeing that story twenty times a day.
That's a brilliant and clever observation, as you often have, Pepper. It diverts attention away momentarily from those who dominate the news consistently. Almost a comic relief if it weren’t a tragedy.
I'm afraid it's going to turn in to a cold case too. Nothing they been doing or researching has been panning out. With all leads slowly going away, they are going to have a Cold Case mystery. .. and it will leave the headlines.
But there are always people who will continue to dig for information. … "48 Hours"
Much of what we hear is not a clue, but speculative talking as tv personalities try to support their need for ratings. Since you fast forward it shouldn't present an issue for you. Why?

Or, as someone pointed out in a different thread, young and beautiful. That and if you're not famous or related to someone famous nobody is gonna run a story every day, all day about your whereabouts.
I sincerely hope she finally comes home to her family, sooner the better. I certainly wouldn't complain about the topic coming up daily in the news. That's why we have freedom to use our remote. I think the mute button is great.I like to check the updates on it each day, hoping she's found alive, or at least hoping they find a body so the family can have closure, and of course catch the criminals.
The attention of the media is always very pick-and-choose and I don't see how it could be any other way when so many crimes and accidents are one of many.
There was a thread covering the latest news and my thread about how tired I am of it. In my view, they are two separate topics, and if I want to start another thread I don't think any SF VIP will shut it down. Being the SF "police" is never a good look. Are there two separate threads going about this 'abuction' here ?? and is that necessary?? SF VIP's can this be clarified and cleared??
