United States and Israel attack Iran Early Saturday Morning

There's a number of rumours about how much damage has been inflicted on Israel, the trouble is finding credible information.
I've read that Israel's "Iron Dome" isn't very effective anymore. Given the fact, that Iran wants to terminate Israel and doesn't seems to stop bombing it is possible that they must use nuclear bombs in the end.
Oh I sincerely hope not :(
I also hope so.

This morning gas at one of my usual stations was still at $3 a gallon. So I put $5 bucks worth in my motorcycle which came close to filling it up. When I went by that station just a few minutes ago it was up tpn $3.50. So I guess I timed it right. :) That makes it up an even buck since the $2.50 that it was before "The War" started.

Had two price increases last week and have to check my local station this. It seems every day or two it's going up. It's panic pricing and buying because they suppliers want to make sure they have product to supply. Just like stock want to buy in before it really takes off in price.

I realize we have a no politics rule here on the forum but do we also in real life?

I’m astounded by our non reactive attitude by citizenry over the past year but especially now.

Why it’s like we’re all frozen. Suspended. Paralyzed.

Or is it amazement?

There is a book I have at home titled Why Aren’t We All Screaming.

Yep, people are protesting ICE and their abuses, but not things that are even more important. Who knows?

Do you mean people in American or all over the World?

There have been protests in London both for and against.

Think about the number of people who say they don’t watch or read the news. If it’s not in their backyard, it doesn’t matter. It’s sad.
A lot of us who say we don't watch or read the news really mean we don't watch or read it obsessively. 24/7 news is a whirlpool of negativity and mis/dis information is rampant.

What's happening in the world matters to me, but a hyper-focus on those events makes me miserable and does nothing to change what's happening. However, I do vote and protest in accordance with my beliefs. This is true for many, many Americans.

I and many of my friends stay on top of what’s happening and we all are upset. I’ve had some difficulty sleeping since this occurred. This past year has been one of the worst of my life. It seems like everyday something else horrible happens.

I’ve been calling my representatives constantly to share my views on the issues and how they should vote. I’m doing everything possible that’s within my power.

I think our wonderful moderator realizes this war goes far beyond politics and has allowed us to slightly stray from that rule. After all, this war affects the entire world from an economic and safety standpoint.

BTW I'm so happy to see you posting on here and back in the game!

The world is in turmoil right now. The old rules based world order is collapsing and old alliances are no longer solid. The war in Ukraine has just passed into its fifth year and has largely disappeared from the headlines. That war is far from over.

This is the first time that I can recall when Australia has not rushed to be the first nation to join US fighting on foreign soil. When the Twin Towers came down our PM was in NY and immediately declared our support for US military conflicts in the Middle East, later in Afghanistan.

Earlier a different PM declared "All the way with LBJ", signing us up to the war in Vietnam.

This time the mood of the government and the opposition, not to mention the people, is very different. We have provided some protection to the United Arab Republic but we are doing that independently of US.

I plan on being out in the streets, hopefully with millions of others, on March 28th, expressing my disgust for the current situation.

Apparently Iran has now got the A rse with Australia, because they gave asylum to 5 sports stars...

Senior Iranian government and football officials have accused Australia of taking asylum-seeking women's players 'hostage' after seven members of the team were given humanitarian visas this week.

The regime also issued a message personally addressed to the players who did choose to leave Australia, which said: 'Dear ladies... Iran awaits you with open arms. Do not worry. Return home.'

The Iranian team sparked global headlines after they refused to sing their national anthem during their first match at the Asian Cup on the Gold Coast on March 2.

Five players escaped the team's hotel on the Gold Coast and were given the visas by the Federal Government on Monday, with another two team members seeking and being given asylum on Tuesday.

In bizarre comments to a media outlet affiliated with the country's notorious Revolutionary Guard, Football Federation Chief Mehdi Taj claimed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese ordered police to stop Iranian players leaving the country
