Fureverywhere is now in The Hot Seat!

It's questions like that one right there that caused me to chicken out of ever sitting in the hot seat LOL View attachment 28242

Bw, you could always fudge the answer. It's not like any of us would know you were picking the second most dumbest thing you'd done when drunk. For instance, my answer to the question would have been, "Faked a heart attack and ended up in the ER". Dumb as this sounds, you still don't know my dumbest drunk action.

Fur, does NJ "fit" you, and do you "fit" NJ?
Oy, that I can do a mean Joe Pesci impression? Yes of course...actually I didn't "fit" until I met my husband. As a kid we never "went down the shore". My parents preferred Cape Cod or visiting family in Pennsylvania. Most of the neighbors and kids in school were Italian American, mass every Sunday and Seaside every summer.
I met hubby, the oldest in a nutty Sicilian family and I began to understand a new culture...somewhere between The Soprano's and "Gemini" but brand new for me. So yes I now fit in Joisey, like a clown, yeah funny like a clown<<<male screaming>>>

LOL - thank you, excellent answer!

What, I AMUSE you?!? :playful:

Do you think you were a shy kid from your upbringing, your environment, travel & uprooting, or a combination?
Well my Mom was a force of nature. You know that one "If Momma unhappy, ain't NOBODY happy". I admire her now 100% but as a kid. I was a mouse and she was a tank. She didn't mean to be. She just didn't know quite how to relate to a mouse. My brother was married and moved out. Dad "got me" but was out at meetings and things. It took me a long time to develop my Mom's better qualities...don't **** with me *******!.

Time travel. When and where?
Paris in the 1920's, I'm a well loved author in the clubs every night. We swill champagne and dance until the sun comes up.

Star Wars, or Star Trek?
Really, neither one does anything for me. I saw Star Wars when it came out and fell asleep.

What issues in life are the most significant and important to you?
Doing something. Anything...to avoid living in a cardboard box stealing cat food...I'd probably have to steal the box too.

Fur, can you point to a time in your life when faced a moral/ethical dilemma and how you approached it?
Deciding my middle girl was beyond repair was the hardest thing I ever had to do. Hey, it happens.

If you were selected for jury duty in a capital murder case in a death penalty state, would you serve knowing there was a chance you might have to sentence someone to the ultimate penalty?

If you had a chance to come back and have a new life, would you still choose to be a woman, or would you give a shot at being a man, and why?

Good question there. As a teen I did some gender bending. In the clubs I could pass for a pretty boy. It was a hoot, certainly an education. Perhaps some things that can't be unseen as well:eek: But I think it's easier to be a woman. Being a man means having a certain cultural expectation to live up to. Being a woman you have more freedom. I mean even if you're stone butch you still have choices. I think many men as a whole have it tougher. Then again gender is so subjective anyways...

If you were selected for jury duty in a capital murder case in a death penalty state, would you serve knowing there was a chance you might have to sentence someone to the ultimate penalty?

It would depend a lot on the evidence and the accused. I remember a case some years ago where these two freaks broke into a house and raped and murdered the women of the family, then set fire to the house. The husband was beaten badly but somehow escaped. There was a photo of one of the perps grinning in the court room. In a case like that lethal injection is too humane, fire up Ol' Sparky and I would flip the switch.

Hello fur! .. :)

You are doing very nicely! You questions have not be easy ones to answer, so I give to you a lots of credit....

Now - - - - My question to you is a single question: You live in New Jersey. I dunno if you was live there during 9/11/01 attacks or not, but IF you were, can you describe to me please how that day was for you? Thank youuuu.. :) From Gia xo

Fur, if your life was a movie, which actor would play you?
Bette Midler, people have always said there was a resemblance...I agree, actually they'd probably cast the dementia patient from OINB, but that's only on a bad day...

Fur, assuming money was no object, describe your fantasy weekend. Dream big.
Hum a fantasy weekend would be in New Orleans. We had our honeymoon there and never got to go back. Staying at The Royal Orleans again with a second honeymoon package...I suppose that would mean they give you pain reliever and antacid with the strawberries and champagne. The we'd eat our way through the whole weekend. Breakfast at Brennan's, The Café Du' Monde, oyster po' boys and hurricane drinks. I'd resurrect Paul Prudhomme and his wife so we could say hello again at K Paul's. Then just before it's time to go home. One more breakfast at Brennan's and on to Villa Lobos. I'd spend a few hours talking to Tia and then bring home a new baby or two...sigh

A good question Gia...Being so close to the city 9/11 was especially devastating. We saw smoke from the towers for days. I didn't know anyone personally except best buddy knew Father Judge well. Sadly enough the photo of him being carried out became one of the most iconic images. There are many people here who commute to the city regularly. In the days following 9/11 the cars left in the commuter lots were a testimony to the people not coming home. It was like the Kennedy assassination for earlier generations. We'll all remember exactly where we were that day.

Fur, what dish is your go to when you have time to do something that takes a bit more time. One of mine is lasagna or mac & cheese. If you were having a special dinner, what would you make?

I make a pretty decent toasted cheese sandwich. I'm good at many things but cooking isn't one of them. Hubby or the kids make dinner...if I'm forced to it's a package of this mixed with a can of that. But a special dinner my husband would make might be a rib roast-careful to count the bones first, it has to be an even number for the dogs, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes with tons of butter, garlic and sharp cheese, crumb coated green beans. Oh and for dessert a bread pudding with Chantilly cream. He doesn't get fancy so much anymore but when he does it's perfect.

Thank you, fur... I am so please to know that you and you family was not harm... I remember the image of kindly Father Judge - his hair all white with plaster dust..he would not leave those he was with... it was devastating to see.... Yes... this one definite was OUR tragedy (after JFK assassination).... Thank you so much for all you answers - after I read you answers of others' question for you, I feel you are some one I would enjoy to know. I thank you for answer my question. From Gia

And for that matter.
How have you found being sat there, answering questions from rather nosy people!
